OK, so here we are on the day that the French TSW LGV Méditerranée: Marseille - Avignon route was supposed to be available free as a tribute to Focus Entertainment taking over DTG and I had a laugh when I found out it wouldn't be downloadable till Friday 17:00UTC or 18:00BST, just the right time for a problematic release to have no support available till Tuesday after the long bank holiday weekend! I still use TSW2 on a PS5 and have no intention of downgrading to the awful washed out and annoying stuttering mess that is TSW3 and before anyone tries to suggest that I do so I implore them to not waste their time as I will be forced to tell them [EDIT - Jan - Language] I left it till 20:00BST so the [EDIT - Jan - Language] at DTG could fully wind up the clockwork mechanisms on their server and then tried to get it. First I fired up the PS5 and started up TSW2 before going to the store option. There I found the LGV route and went to the PS store link provide. £24.99! Yep, it wanted to charge me £24.99 for what is supposed to be a goodwill free offer. Not going well so far... Because of some route performance issues on the PS5 I have both the PS5 and PS4 version of TSW2 installed on my PS5. As it would not let me download TGV for free on the PS5 TSW2 I closed it and opened up the PS4 TSW2 before again heading to the store option and once again it was asking me to pay £24.99. Going from bad to worse! Patience wearing a bit thin I then closed everything, rebooted the PS5 and went straight to the Playstation store where I navigated to the TGV download page where (lo and behold...) it stated: Train Sim World® 2 & 3 compatible. Play this DLC on either TSW2 or TSW3. Features remain unchanged from the original Train Sim World® 2 release. https://store.playstation.com/en-gb/product/EP2866-PPSA07618_00-TSW3LGVMEDIROUTE It also stated the price as "Free" so I downloaded it to the SSD on my PS5 and felt I was on the way to success but that was wishful thinking! When it had downloaded I fired up the PS5 version of TSW2 and the route was NOT there. I closed the PS5 TSW2 and tried the PS4 version and again it was not there. This was now getting beyond a joke. I checked the storage on the PS5 SSD and the route had been installed in a lonely area labelled up as the detested TSW3 that is unlikely to ever find a space on any device I own. It is also currently not playable in either the PS4 or PS5 version of TSW2 installed on my PS5 so I deleted it as I find it nauseating to see the phrase "TSW3" on my SDD To be honest it was pretty well what I had come to expect from releases by DTG, a breath taking level of incompetence and whilst I am sure I will be told to make a ticket and report it, I really just cannot be bothered to waste any more of my time with this game. I have created this thread for anyone else who may be suffering the same problems and I don't even expect DTG to address the issue as TSW2 users have been completely abandoned in a forlorn hope that we will grudgingly downgrade to TSW3. I have the same problem with the TSW 2. I'm playing on the PS4 and I still have TSW 2 on it and not TSW 3, because I can't afford it yet. But the thing which just makes me angry and sad is just the fact that the PS shop clearly states that it is ALSO COMPATIBLE for TSW 2. And that's the case with EVERY DLC where it says so. In any case, I downloaded the free LGV route and wonder why the TSW 3 logo is on it. The installation was successful, but at the end it just said "waiting for installation" where I thought "okay, I'll wait a moment." I've been waiting for 5 hours now and nothing happens and it also says that I should buy TSW 3 because apparently it's only compatible with it. And from that moment on I felt very very screwed because that's exactly what I just don't understand here: You sell a DLC and promise something about it, but that's not even included. And I also had the problem when I got the Journeys Pack for the Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen where I had to pay 10€ in a discount. And it had exactly the same problem. So now I've had enough with these stupid games y'all playing with us. Either you, yes, I meant DTG for that, fixes this problem with "the compatibility with TSW 2" or you can drag your company into the dirt for a long time. Because the way you treat us players and pull the money out of our pockets is simply not morally justifiable. I swear for that. Do you honestly want to continue like this and make your company even more unpopular than it already is? I do not think so...

I am not arguing about it. That is a statement of fact for myself and many other ex-customers of DTG, innit? Nah... I've had enough of wasting my time with this [EDIT - Jan - Language] company. I feel sorry for the frontline staff at DTG trapped in a company so bad that they had to close their own Trustpilot entry because of the bad reviews. I feel absolute contempt for the senior management who should feel being called STUPID is an unwarranted compliment.
You've been an ex-customer since TSW3 was released, they haven't missed you for the last 8 months and I'm sure they wont miss you now. You're an entitled ex-customer kicking off because you can't get a free route for a game you don't own. You couldn't make this rubbish up.
Though for example, on Steam, it is also free on TSW2. And it should be that way, IMO. The DLC exists in both games, not sure why it should only be free in the more broken one.
PlayStation has a weird backwards compatibility thing with the TSW DLCs, it seems. As far as I know it works fine on Xbox (although I can't test this, as I already owned LGV)
Ignoring your incorrect assertation that TSW3 is more broken then TSW2 (its really not), the point is that no where can I find anything where DTG have promised LGV free for TSW2, Im happy to stand corrected if you can present me with any social media post stating otherwise. You can't complain about not getting something you've never been promised. Well no reasonable person can, but I guess when it comes to the TSW2>TSW3 brigade we aren't dealing with reasonable people.
Okay so if other games have poor releases, does that make the whole team stupid and incompetent? Or maybe they make a small hiccup and an update is incomplete or doesn't really fix anything. Does that make them stupid and incompetent? Whether true or not, that does not get the point across. If someone called you stupid or incompetent, would you be fine with that? Probably not. Some people can just brush it off and move on with their life, but it'll still affect you in that moment. Be mindful of what you say to other people.
Chas Usually it helps to send a support request before going on a rampage on the forums... Even if they didn't promise it they might be willing to give you a code for the TSW2 version anyway; they gave me codes for the TS Rewards content, North London Line and South Wales Coastal when I was owed them.

Follow these steps: 1. Search the store for Train Sim World 3 (entering train in the search box should suffice) 2. Select the icon for TSW3 3. Scroll down the page to the add-ons section 4. Go all the way to the right and select View all add-ons 5. Scroll throught list to find LGV TGW and select it 6. Click the button that says Free or Download, not sure which it will say 7. Press the PS button and check downloads, if it added the TSW3 PS5 version cancel it 8. Go to the home screen and go to the TSW2 icon (PS4 or PS5) 9. Press the Options button on controller, then go to Manage game content 10. I for one think that the LGV route in TSW2 is how high speed should be done if you like that kind of route. Scenery is pretty good for the most part given that it's mostly flying past you and the train is nice. Frame rates are solid without the TSW3 seizure stutters. Makes me wonder why they downgraded their efforts with that KSW abomination. Maybe as a launch route for TSW3 they wanted to showcase the "new normal" of junk content and poor performance? Anyhow, vive la France. And remember to flush twice, DTG needs new TSW3 content.
Not just this thread. Somehow it's been controversial, with some complaining that they already owned the DLC and therefore can't benefit from the promotion. I don't know what they were expecting, a refund?
Somebody wanted the free LGV route for TSW2 on PS5 and it wouldn’t download the TSW2 version. That’s all it is once you take the emotion and personal baggage out of it. It has turned into quite an entertaining thread.
This thread will be locked if the tone won't change into a more civil one. The content is backwards compatible, but make sure to follow the steps of this link. Please try these and let us know if that worked for you. I still raised this as a possible issue but since it's the weekend give us a little time to make sure.
Tried the steps in the link but no go. I’ve got plenty of free space and only 5 add-ons. TSW2/PS4/collector’s edition on disc. My region is fine and I’ve had no issues with any of my other content.
Hello everyone, I wanted to share an update on this issue - After we have investigated, it seems both Xbox App for PC and users on PlayStation on TSW2 aren't able to install the content. We are currently working with Sony on a solution for PlayStation users who cannot get the content installed and will share more news when we have it. Good morning! We'd like to ask those of you that are experiencing issues claiming the free French DLC for TSW2 on either PS4 or PS5 to please create a support ticket on our support page here. When you do please also state which console you are using (PS4 or PS5) and which part of the world you are in (i.e.: US, Europe, etc.) We're still in talks with Playstation to figure things out, more data will help us doing so faster. If the problem isn't fixed by the time the promotion ends, will it be extended to allow those who couldn't get it to claim the DLC?
We can't extend the promotion, but we'll ensure that anyone who contacts Support during the time the promotion is live for will get their free content. As a note, Sony have said they can't solve the issue within the time the promotion is live (if we do anything like this in the future it should be resolved from the start though), so if you'd like it, I'd implore you to contact us via the support centre link above before 18:00 BST Friday 2nd June.
Just my two pence worth with regards to this free TGV route. Like many others I stopped playing and buying TSW3 content. Too expensive when dlc’s contain so many bugs etc. After taking quite a lengthy rest from TSW I started to occasionally play TSW2 again so the free TGV route not downloading into TSW2 affected me. Tbh I really wasn’t that bothered about this French TGV route being much more interested in UK trains but hey! it was free so what the heck. Anyway rather than get upset about initially not being able to download the TSW2 version I waited until DTG gave advice and submitted the required ticket. The response was swift and very helpful and a code was indeed issued very quickly and now I am happily experiencing said dlc in TSW2. Sometimes you have to give credit where it’s due and in this case DTG/Focus acted very professionally and sorted the problem out for a dlc which they didn’t have to give away from free. Yes it frustrating when things go wrong, yes it’s annoying for those who actually bought this at the time of release, but maybe it’s time we all stepped back from immediately jumping on DTG for everything that goes wrong or isn’t quite right. I’m as guilty as anyone for venting about things but not so much recently because like I said I haven’t been around TSW that much recently. It’s ok to highlight things so DTG are aware but after that it really is up to them to sort things out. We can only vote with our feet and refuse to buy or play until things improve and get cheaper! Anyway a big thanks to DTG from me for the free dlc and help in getting it. As for the route itself I’m actually enjoying it, it’s the first none UK route I can fully understand and play fully ( Although I’ve no idea how that snake safety system is supposed to work? I believe it was bugged when it was first released so I’ve no idea if it still is? ) would I have bought it? Probably not but it has peaked my interest slightly in a none UK train which at the end of the day is the reason DTG/Focus gave it away for free. Now all I need is a really detailed and easy to understand tutorial on German safety systems that despite watching many videos on them and reading helpful posts from players on here I just can’t get a handle on them except for SIFA. I still much prefer UK trains though but that’s just my personal preference.
