I recently bought the LGV dlc since I have some nostalgia from TS classic wich was a really good remake from real life. but when I started playing I realised that the TSW 2 version is only graphically and in train better. this is because of the huge amount of auto-generation used on the route and I would just like to see a bit more attention payed to the route. A good example of where there could be improvements is le aquaduc de roquefavour. the following are pictures from IRL, TSW 2 and TS classic [IMG]

As you can see graphically speaking TSW is the best but if we are talking to realism of the model than we start to notice that the TS version is better because it looks like a bit more than a concrete block stretched out over a viaduct. This isn't necessarily even a cherry picked example because there are various points where you can see hils turn into nothing with a scharp straight line or where it looks like fields of crops should be but the ground just changes colour slightly. Also when driving through the provence the darker green grass doesn't really give the more hotter yellowish vibes that you expect from the nature around the mediteranean wich gives it a bit more the feeling like you're a bit more to the north than what some of the architecture of the buildings says you are. I hope Dovetail will be able to fix a few of these issues that I have.

Sorry for gramattical errors english isn't my mothertongue.

After a quick start of TSW it seems development is a little bit slowing down. Why ? To much competition ? To many platforms ? Personally I was never a big fan of TS because of technical reasons. The old Train Simulator (MSTS) works fine on any PC. But TSW on Xbox did the trick for me ...

The scenery around the Marseille area is for the most part fine, but once you are out past all of the steep gradients, the scenery does feel empty in places such as the distant scenery around the 3 bridges near Avignon. I actually never knew that bridge you showed existed in the first place

Routes take much longer to make since it is a modern graphics engine. They gotta model everything with higher levels of detail, new assets, timetables (not a thing is tsc). There isn't a lot of competition out there in terms of train sims. There are a few but there really isn't one yet.

If you're talking about now, they are focusing on fixing the other stuff like getting preservation updates out which we've waited more than a year for, ps5 dlc fixes (addon manager), out of memory crashes, spirit if steam updates, etc for the next few months. We still don't know the new routes since that's not the main focus/thing they are working on.
