Welcome to my project for the construction of the LGV Nord: Paris - Lilles. In this itinerary you will find the emblematic stations of: - Paris Gare du Nord - Haute Picardie TGV station - Lille Flandres train station - Lille Europe. This route is designed to be able to operate TGV services between Paris and Lille. It will therefore be possible to play with the TGV Duplex 200 from the DLC: LGV Méditerranée. (Note that Eurostar, Thalys, as well as many regional and urban services could be put on this route if DTG would one day create models of trains running on this route: for example the Eurostar TMST/e320 ) Now let's move on to some more precise information about this VERY LONG route. With a distance of 251 KM, this route includes 28 TGV services from Lille Flandres to Paris as well as 29 TGV services between Paris to Lille Flandres, and 26 TGV services From Paris to Lille Europe per day, not including Eurostar, Thalys and regionals services. Now let's look at some images of the development (please note that this is the beginning of the development)
As the comment above said, try to reduce it so as not to give yourself too much work and try to work as a team because this journey alone will be hard to create (not impossible but hard). After that nothing will stop you from extending the line later if you really want GDN-Lille, step by step After the problem is that no TGV stop Haute Picardie from GDN and vice versa, you are obliged to take train GDN and go to Lille to take another TGV to go back down to Haute Picardie (the joy of the SNCF) so I would advise starting Haute Picardie - Lilles it solves the travel problems and in addition there are fewer km to do (100 km against 113 km for GDN - Haute Picardie)
yes I think I'm going to do that because the TGV Picardy part in Lille Flanders and Lille Europe is easier to do
Don't worry! don't panic ! there are no new things for the moment because I'm taking a little break during the end of the year! but the development will continue in 2 to 3 weeks! I'm taking a little editor break and I started blender to create objects and stations.
Hello everyone, the development of the itinerary continues at a slow pace. I learned the basics of blender and some other more complex blender manipulations, which leads us to the beginning of modeling the Stations and Other Objects needed for the route. For the moment it is the turn of the modeling of the station "Garges Sarcelles", a station located on the outskirts of Paris and which will for the moment be simply for the decoration.
Hey! Great job Can't wait to see the final result And would it be possible that you make a tutorial about how did you process the LiDAR of France and everything related to GIS for making the current map/route? I tried to do some stuff, but I'm completely lost since I didn't get DEM TIFF files from IGN In addition to being my first time dealing with all this geodata files, and especially for a larger area like the one you're trying to create.
