People have given me links to some great tutorials, but what I need to know at the moment which the tutorials dont cover is if you've got 2 bits of track that must stay where they are but you're finding it hard to join them together, is there a tool that can automatically link the two bits please?
If they wont weld with the weld tool (and then clicking grey cube that appears above buffers) and they wont join with the join tool without moving one section or the other then you need to re-lay a small length of track in either direction cutting it back or adding to it to get the curve set until you have them lined up perfectly, this applies to their height as well as their left/right orientation. It can be potchy as hell but persevere, if you manage to join two pieces of track and end up with a set of points you can usually (not always mind) delete the diverging track and then weld the two remaining sections. You just got to keep at it, as far as I know (in my very limited knowledge) there is no easy tool or fix (god I hope someone comes along and proves me wrong)..
Thanks guys but I've come to the conclusion that if you've got tracks like this: Both at perfect straights, the builder doesnt allow you to make a successful join between them no matter which way you try, please try doing it and let me know if you can do it.
