M9 is in service since 2019 on LIRR route. The M9 replaces the M1(not in TSW) & M3(in TSW). Manufacturer is Kawasaki Heavy Industries and they've now produced 136 units for LIRR and Metro North! The M9s and M9As are equipped with numerous customer amenity improvements over their predecessors. The cars are equipped with wider seats, closed loop seat armrests similar to those on the M8s, electrical outlets on both sides of the car in each row of seats, four 32-inch multimedia screens in each car, four to six additional seats per married pair, and powered doors on the "B" end of each car. The flip-up seats are equipped with a suspension system to prevent them from slamming. All M9s will be equipped with positive train control (PTC) and CCTV cameras that allow the train crew to view the passenger areas of the train.
I would definitely like to see this locomotive on the roadmap sometime in the future maybe it’ll come with the Babylon Branch.
You mean my suggestion the Babylon branch St Albans Lynbrook Rockville Centre Freeport Merrick Bellmore Babylon. Also fits the Harlem Line
Definitely needs to happen. Shouldn't be difficult to make since it's identical to the current M7 in the game.
How is it identical to the M7, it’s an M9… I don’t think enough people realise this, but the reason why we are getting a short route with 2 slightly modified existing trains is because of Grand Central. That will be the centrepiece of this route, no doubt about it.
The have about the same cab. The side of the train is pretty much the same. But the front of the trains, seat colors, interior lighting, motor sounds are different even how the trains a structured are different. But they are not far off from eachother.
Good point and these are supposed to finish off 1983 built M3As ordered for the North White Plains Southeast electrification project.
If they release the NYC Subway it will be awesome. I will be on that everyday. That's the main thing I actually want to see be made.
