I was using a timetable run on the LIRR with M7 and got passed the junction after Jamaica eastbound, I passed a clear signal with 60 as the line speed and 80 on the ATCSES. When I got to the next signal I found it was at caution so I started applying the brake but the ATCSES system immediately changed to 40 and put the brake on after passing this signal. It stopped after I passed under 40 and partially let me release the brake but then again fully applied the brake once again despite the line speed still being 60. When the train stopped I tried releasing the brake but although they would charge, the train would not move again. How am I supposed to know the signal set speed in advance to stop this happening and if it does how do I reset the train so power can be applied?
The manual states "If the speed indicator drops to a lower speed, then an alarm will sound that you must acknowledge by pressing Q (B button on Xbox controller) and slow promptly to the new maximum speed as indicated." But it says nothing about it slamming the brakes on and how to release them again. This has also happened randomly in a scenario where there was no signal and the ATCSES even went back up to line speed but it would not acknowledge and it would not allow me to release the brakes again.
