Why do I keep getting a overspeed brake application when I'm way off the speed limit? I'm driving the m9 at 25mph in a 45 zone and I'm constantly coming to a halt for overspeed?
It's telling me the line speed is 60. And warning it's dropping to 40 up ahead. I was travelling at 50 and slowing down and again got a emergency brake application.
Or is it the signals. I noticed I passed a signal displaying the restricted aspect. Should I be slowing to 30 before passing one?
If memory serves me correctly you also have to keep mashing the acknowledgment key/button even if complying with the limits. Very tiresome!
Yeah I acknowledge when acses bleeps at me. The speed limits are all over the place. It ways displaying a line speed of 80, warning me that this was changing to 40. As I hit 40 it dropped to 30 and slammed on the brakes. I think to be on the safe side, I'll stick to 15mph throughout the route. It's better to be late than have passengers rolling around the floor.
TBH this is why I removed LIRR2, was driving me nuts. I did reinstall the other day but can’t bring myself to touch it. Probably end up removing it and saving the pak file space, again at some point.
Yeah I think this is one of them routes that you need to know like the back of your hand but won't get played enough to learn in a hurry.
Whenever you get a speed drop by ATC just put the power controller in the off or brake position and wait for the brake assurance light to come on and acknowledge it, then it’ll take you down to that speed automatically, if it’s ACSES then I think you need to slow down manually
