So I have held off on getting this for some time due to all the reports of really messy audio bugs in the reviews of it, and was wondering if this is perhaps being worked on for the preservation update for this route or not. Once the Harlem line released, I figured that would have me covered on all my M3 desires and thoughts of getting this were put on the back burner, but more LIRR variety would still be nice. Are these issues being worked on? Did they perhaps get fixed at some point? I'd love to know.
The LIRR Budd M3 EMU has some recycled sounds from the LIRR. Mainly the wirr from the M7 when the doors close which is unrealistic. It still has audio bugs as well. The passenger lights on the M3 are way too bright. DTG haven't said if the preservation crew is working on the M3 but if I were you, I would wait for the preservation crew to release the lirr preservation update which hopefully will bring improvements to the M3 which can be close to how the M3A is on the Metro North Railroad Harlem Line. If you really want it though, get it when it's on sale. I don't recommend it at full price in the state it is in.
Yeah, pretty much confirms my concerns, here's hoping they at least tweak it with some fixes from the Harlem M3A. Until then, I'll stick to not buying it.
