I own all of the DLC, except the Expert 101, and when I go to play the game, 99.9% of the time it fails to load, crashing repeatedly at different points on the load bar screen, which itself, when it does load, takes upwards of 5 minutes to do so. It can take hours of repeated attempts to get into the game, time I would rather spend actually playing the damn thing. I am curious if I'm the only person on Series X with this amount of installed DLC that this is happening to. I can only get it to load consistently if I remove over half of the DLC. I even tried removing the content that doesn't layer on elsewhere, but this only equated to about ten things, so didn't make a difference. I raised a ticket with support, who had me uninstall and reinstall the entire game piece by piece until it crashed once more, a painstaking and time-consuming process. They then closed the ticket saying my issue had been resolved, because of course they did!
I have everything that has been released for the game and my game loads up every single time, I'm on the xbone series X, never had any problems to date.....
Only happened a few times for me on the series X normally when using Resume play, I own about 90% of the content
I own 100% of the content and I’m using the series s. That didn’t happen to me yet. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it did.
How much storage do you have free on your Xbox? If it’s full up with other games it will struggle more with everything
I've literally just loaded it (not because of this thread though), and it didn't take even 1 minute to fully load. It's never crashed for me on the loading screen either. 47 DLCs installed. Never had this problem.
"It can take hours of repeated attempts to get into the game,...". Why did you try to get into the game for hours? If a game wont load after trying 4 to 5 times i would have already played something else. You should consider to take a look at storage, cooling and other possible issues with your console. Tsw is in a bad shape, but this is quite too much even for the state it is in now. Especially as no one else seems to share this issue in this size.
Sort of reminds me of the guy who tried to blame TSW for blowing his fuses. That only happened to him as well.
Whilst it's loading, I'm either reading, or playing on my Steam Deck, so whilst it's time not spent on TSW, it is at least time still spent gaming. I formatted my 1Tb SSD card, made a fresh install of the game and all 125 add-ons, and it did boot up first time after over 6 and a half minutes. Remains to be seen if this is just a one off though.
It will always boot up quicker the less DLC you have, case in point, during the early access phase when none of the back compat DLC is available, it's an almost instant load, but 125 DLCs definitely slow it to a crawl.
An idea could be to clean your Xbox? I had a similar issue last year, long load times and constant crashes on Series X. Since then I haven’t had any similar issues with repeated crashes.
I could, but it's been the same across multiple Series X's (OG launch model, Halo Edition, current Galaxy Black 2Tb Edition), so maybe I'm just incredibly unlucky? Oh, and it did crash again just now after rebooting to activate a Mastery tile, so that's just peachy.
Press the guide button. Select my games and apps. If TSW5 is there, press start and remove it. See if that works. (If applicable). I had an issue with a game last year not loading properly because it used quick resume.
