Seems the livery deleting bug strikes again on PS5. I was recently painting a custom livery for the SD70Ace. Went to hit save an a error occurred. My profile BAK file appeared. I tried continuously to save but it would not let me. So i backed out of the livery editor without saving and all 60+ liveries i had was gone. My data was auto synced through the PS cloud. Tried downloading the recent save data and it yield the same result. Save files on PS5 cannot be backed to a USB stick. I'm disappointed this continues to happen. It happened to me on PS4, I had to redo my liveries once again on PS5, now I have to do them all over once again. I love playing Train Sim World 2, but if this keeps continuing, then the livery editor is just gonna have to be removed or disabled till its fixed.
...as a meanwhile trained "Livery Designer" professional on the PS4, I can understand your problem. It definitely has to do with the Playstation system software and is not caused by the developers of DTG. I guess there's a programmed memory limit (at least on PS4) to prefend the console from crashing. I don't quite understand why it occurs on the new PS5 with twice as much RAM memory. The software engineers at Sony will probably also have to get used to the new hardware and the console's potential will only be fully exploited in the next few years, when there are enough PS5s and exclusive AAA titels on the market again. I've also heard that a few Xbox players have similar problems on Microsoft's 8th gen consoles. So the best thing you can do at the moment is to constantly save your current game status, preferably in the PSN cloud, then the whole effort was not in vain...
I see, besides this issue with the livery designer, the liveries on PS5 are still pixelated and do not appear clearly as they should. As far as I know the issue is being looked into. Guess it's a matter of noting it on future road maps.
