Welcome to the erly 1980's where BR blue was in full swing and the busy intercity line between Liverpool-Manchster was no execption. Experience this in Train sim World: Liverpool - Manchester via Warrington Central Hello everyone! Can't belive I'm doing this but... I'm suggesting a BR blue route for this game? IN THE NORTH? Wow almost like im a diffrent person. In reality I just think South Lancshire Lines for TSC looks amazing and we should have a piece of it recreated in this game haha. (Btw - RIP nick - Great member of the TSC community untill your unfortunate passing - Im not reliigous but I hope your somehow someway watching over us all enjoy your work - Ledgend). While I get the tissues out for myself lets continue shall we ( - Seriously though - Genuinely tragic) Rolling Stock: Class 45: Class 45 in BR Blue livery Class 101: Class 101 in BR Blue Livery Class 40: Class 40 in BR Blue Livery Class 31: Class 31 in BR Blue Livery Class 86: Class 86 in BR Blue Livery (all images courtsey of Google) While you may think thats a LOT of rolling stock - Almost ALL of them are already in TSW via NTP and TVL or as seperate DLC so the only new train would be the Class 86. Now lets go onto the scenarios shall we: Intercity - Getting there.. Eventually: Take this extremely delayed class 45 between Manchester and Liverpool after taking over - Due to the extreme times you will be changing to a semi-fast service. Reigional - Getting there... Even Longer: Take this class 101 between Warrington Central and Manchester Piccadily due to signal faults towards Liverpool however there are massive delays due to severe weather. Empty Freight - Getting there... to ruin commuters: Take this empty ballast loaded class 40 from Warrington Goods Yard going at regular pace causing problems for those pesky commuters. Loaded Freight - Getting there... To deliver goods: Take this loadedi ballast class 40 from Edge Hill to Warrington goods yard actually being given less priortiy then passenger services so expect to be held up. Railtours - Getting there... To appease the rich and trainspotters: Take this class 86 railtour between Liverpool and Manchester non stop before changing over with another driver to finish the railtour down to London. Alrighty Im actually going to add something real quick, a points of intrest if you will: Edge Hill TMD/Allerton Depot: Warrington Goods Yard: Carrington Power Station: Poma Docks: Now onto the last non station part: Pros and cons. Pros: - Adds a nice fairly beefy route with lots of variety a lot of replayabilty - Finally gives more to the north - Adds one of the buisisest intercity routes in argueably its peak Cons: - For those not intrested in the Era its a massive blow - Yet Another Northern BR blue route - Only really adds one train With that - Onto the station list (I will try to have backdated station photos for all stations)
Page 4) Warrington Central: Warrington West: Sankey: Widness: (genuinely the only photo I could find) Hough Green:
Page 5) Hunts Cross: Liverpool South Parkway: Im going to be honest - I can not find a single backdated image for this station and i KNOW it was diffrent in the 1980's so if anyone has an image please do share. West Allerton: Mossley Hill: Edge Hill: Liverpool Lime Street: That was a LOT harder then I thought but its done. Anyway thanks for reading. Have a good one.
I know Liverpool South Parkway was called Allerton. That's about it I'm afraid. I like the suggestion anyway.
What a suggestion! This would be an absolutely glorious route to have in game with some brilliant rolling stock! You could even have the 08 and 47 from NTP layering in to make it even more diverse. As I say a truly brilliant suggestion which makes me crave some more BR blue even more.
You’d need a big run up to get the 86 through Warrington Central . A good suggestion although not sure how the 86 would work with it
