Reading through the various threads regarding Livery Designer issues I see there is quite a few relating to the painting process on certain pieces of equipment.
As I have experienced a few of these in my own creations, and as I have not found a specific thread for them to be reported specifically in league, I thought It might be a good idea to keep them all contained in one thread (rather than scattered all through the forums in separate posts) for regular inspection by the DTG Crew for ease of access to our problems and hopefully follow-up with a fix. Therefore I have initiated this thread to do so. Maybe DTG Staff can mark each post somehow so it is known by gamers if the item has been noted / recognized by them for inspection and repair? Just a thought.

Please report (list / register) any paint problems you have had while using LD in this thread. Include a photo where able, the Loco or Car affected, the Route it belongs, what the exact problem is, and your Platform.

The example below shall serve as the first registered issues...

    Peninsula Corridor, GP38-2,
    Multiple items as follows:
    1) Unable to paint a corner of the unit as shown below.
    p3.jpg

    2) Doors do not take paint.
The blue doors in this image are part of the base colour while the grey is the layer.
They do not take cover layers.

    3) Numbers unpaintable / unchangeable.
This is a problem on many units that should be rectified for full customization as has been reported and mentioned by many gamers over the years. They make for stupid looking custom liveries...

    Summary:

    Loco - GP38-2
    Route - Peninsula Corridor
    Platform - Xbox 1 S
    Various known issues to date.

I hope this thread is considered helpful and serve as a direct and singular place for not only reporting / gathering these issues in one place, but also as a reference point for those experiencing issues to determine if they are known or new.
If this topic seems to be in the wrong location (Tech chosen because this is essentially game tech and not creative design per se) I would not be offended if Admin relocates it.

This is how it looks once painted and layers can not be applied over the new paint..

Further to the above re: numbers:
When painted the loco was 503, now randomly spawns in game as 504. See images below.
    As painted...

    In game...
    n5.jpeg
    Same with the other reskin...
    n1.jpeg
Both reskins were painted as 503 in LD to match the given numbers.

*Notes: Number boards seem to be a problem on multiple units from multiple routes in multiple ways. Either unpaintable, spawning incorrectly, or over-riding re-numberings by creators (as in Clinchfield)
Also, creators should have more control over numbers AND the ability to run multiple units with different numbers instead of twins or triplets with the same numbers. Not sure how this could be done aside from creating multiple separate numbered reskinned units, but the ability to choose units in timetable or scenario planner (or a consist editor) when running more than a single unit would be a huge step in the right direction.

    Summary:

    Loco - MP15DC
    Route Pen Corr
    Platform - Xbox 1 S
