    Hello,
Having seen the effort Dovetail Games have put in to the Spirit of Steam DLC, I feel as though it is lacking in one area, that being the selection of Locomotives.

As we, the people who have played through the Spirit of Steam DLC, are aware that there are only 2 Locomotives within the DLC and although this is of course perfect, given the time frame the DLC is set in, the line feels empty.

The time frame in which the DLC is set, at this time period there were many other Steam Locomotives running on these lines. I would just like to suggest putting an extra Steam engine in there to make the line more simulated and realisitc.

Bring it on since Mallard did the speed record on ECML South but this will cause HRR HMA RRO RSN Main Spessart Bahn and SKA West Germany to get a Deutsche Bundesbahn Baureihe 05

Unless an ECML route was made, this dlc wouldn't make sense as it would have been the Staniers on WCML expresses.
With an ECML line route bring it on though! Who wouldn't want to drive the world's fastest steam loco?

    Hello OakleyMoss,

I suggested adding the Mallard as I believe it to be the best looking engine, along with the Class 8P (Picture Below). However, due to the layers needed for each engine, I believe it would make the game a little shakey and it would therefore ruin the game.

I am an Xbox Series X player and the game runs as good as it does on PC. But, not everybody has next gen and at the moment Dovetail have allowed the Spirit of Steam DLC onto last gen Consoles, which would make the DLC stressful to try and play through. So to add more and more layers it would push last gen consoles to their maximum limit I believe.

    Thank You,

Do you mean the 76mi 121 km ECML South Peterborough King's Cross? Mallard Steam Express rail tour Class 800/801 LNER High-Speed Electric DLC Class 91 IC225 Layered from Rush Hour Train pack if made Class 700 from and also BML Class 387/2 Great Northern Kings Lynn King's Cross via Cambridge.

Well it could be any other section of the ECML and in any era though if you want regular A4 running have it when they were still in official mainline service anywhere from when they were built to the 60s when they started to decline. If railtour runs are good enough then do it in a more modern route with Azumas and 225s though.

If we are to get the A4 then the route needs to be Doncaster to Peterborough - around 90 miles and would include Doncaster Works - the home of the Gresley's big Pacific's and Stoke Bank - the site of the record breaking run. Any other route would be a disservice to the A4's

This would be a fantastic route. One of the included scenarios could even be a recreation of Mallard's record breaking run!

I agree and also West Germany gets the DB BR005 which was the world record holder before the mallard 1936 or 1938 run.

That is 70000 Britannia and that is not a 8P that is BR 7 Standard and that was built in 1951 after the big four where nationallised and not just have the A4’s have the A1 Percorns not 61063 Tornado because that won’t be realistic the A3’s and smaller LNER locos

You do realise that the suggested route and loco are British.

We are never going to have a 1930s German route for obvious reasons.

Thank you for telling me about that how about a 1950s German route. Something like Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr or Hagen Hamm Minden 1950s with the DB BR 005 which was the record holder before the Mallard then Mallard 1938 and United States PRR T1 max speed 110-120 mph or Milwaukee RR Milwaukee to Chiacgo F7. Basically we get spirit of steam fastest steam locomotive edition. Germany Hagen Minden via Hamm DB BR005 ECML Peterborough York 112mi 11ch Mallard PRR T1 Harrisburg Philadelphia 30th street or Milwaukee railroad Milwaukee to Chicago F7 steam. Those are the possible combinations for Mallard and its US and German equivalent for Spirit of Steam High speed steam pack.

You're alright mate, I just thought I should let you know in case you got mixed up. You could maybe make a separate suggestion if you would like to give us more info on the fastest steam loco pack you are envisioning.
