I am recommending for the LNWR Class 730 EMU to be added in TSW 5 For the WCML South route And Birmingham Cross City Line. The Class 730 is a relatively new electric multiple unit, with it entering service in November 2023**. The train is used on the commuter routes listed below: WCML South: London Euston - Milton Keynes (Semi-Fast) London Euston - Tring (Stopping) West Midlands Railway:* Cross City (Lichfield - Bromsgrove & Redditch) (Stopping) Walsall - Wolverhampton (Stopping) Class 730 (LNWR): Class 730 (WMR)* Class 730 Route Map (LNWR) Class 730 Route Map (WMR)* This would be a great add-on to the routes to modernise them to the real day and include more rolling stock to use on them. Thank you for reading my suggestion Edit: I have made this suggestion about the West Midlands Railway 730 as well as the LNWR 730 as it has been a heavily suggested variant! ** = For London North Western * = Added in the edit.
This might work as part of an update for BCC with the 730s having replaced the 323 (albeit being a 3 car variant).
This would be really great DLC I'd probably buy this day 1 it would definitely enhance the wcml a lot with variety of rolling stock
Great suggestion. It's a shame LNWR cancelled their contract last second as I really liked that livery.
Would also really like this as a DLC, would buy straight away especially if it was able to be used on the BCC line
Then can get a unbranded one as well for wcml south. Or like when they ford came i to service some of the wmr 739s were operating on the wcml
This is one to consider once DTG <-> LNWR relations have improved. I'm not really interested in another unbranded train for the same route, but maybe more so if it is branded. That said, I'm not as fond of these restricted view gangway type trains. For a WCML DLC, I would rather a 221 or 805. 221 preferred.
Id rather have this as a separate DLC so it's universal to the cross city & WCML but with the new timetable it should be added to replace some 350's but an 805 or 221 would be much more desirable however they could release these as a bundle for a discounted price if you choose to buy them both
I've changed my mind on not liking the 730s. Some one said that they look a bit like Darth Vader, and that's changed my mind. Still would prefer an 805, 807 or 221, but would be happy to see a 730. MUST BE LIVERIED though, one for once LNWR has been nationalised perhaps.
This is a good suggestion. As for pricing, I think either: 2 £12.99 add ons, one for WCML (730/1 and 730/2) and one for Birmingham Cross City Line (730/0), or 1 £19.99 add on for both WCML and BCCL. The Class 730 is one of my favourite trains as it looks very cool and versatile and I wish for it to be in both WCML and BCCL routes, on a variety of commuter and long distance services.
LNWR Class 730s might be better to be put in the WCML Trent Valley as they are kinda mostly on the route
