Lately I almost cannot load a route in the editor without getting this crash, see picture below. What in the world does this mean and how has this crash started happening? I have TempDump issues from time to time but never before had I had this blueprint issue. Does anyone know what is causing this and how I can fix it? I verified the integrity of the game files but to no avail. And before you ask, I have 50 GB of free space on my hard drive so it cannot really be an issue of memory.
Which game version (Public / Public Beta)? Name a route where that happens so I can try to reproduce. Are you using any external virus scanners?
I have no idea what the difference is between Public and Public Beta. I bought the game through Steam back in 2014 and have been using it ever since. The issue happens on pretty much every route except the Academy. I am not using any external virus scanners.
I checked further and apparently this is an TSC update error, many others have it so we will have to wait for a patch it seems.
There has not been an update to the core (last was on June 21st). You should still be on v74.8 if you have not opted into the beta. Only the Beta gets updates at the moment, and I've found no issues with it.
What is it then and what can I do about it? I've been playing the game for nearly 10 years and never had this issue until now...
It has nothing to do with that type of memory, your harddisk/ssd space. It talks about RAM. Did you anything about RAM before the issues started to appear? Maybe a program installed that eats up your RAM so much that TS does not get enough of it?
No I didn't do anything to my RAM though I do had a bit more blue screen of death crashes lately, probably because I have the same tower since 2020.
Sounds bit as you might got some RAM hardware problems. Not unusual and especially games tend to crash with such problems. You should try to test your RAM, there are some tools for that. But prepare for long waiting dependent on your amount of RAM. Or just put in a new set of sticks and test (if possible).
I would believe you if it weren't for several other users having roughly the same issue as me right now. I need to look into how to test my RAM, I have never done that before.
I saw some posts on rail-sim.de. The logmate reports show crashes in the Scaleform (Adobe Flash based UI renderer) code. I suspect there's some external interference in play there, like with that sound issue some experienced. Hard to speculate not having access to a PC where that happens. Again, the last core update for the Public branch happened in June. Four months later reports are coming in, it seems only a handful of players are affected. Hmmm.
I don't think anyone has. Though India has a massive TS community, it's locked behind the FastLineGames download tool, which may put many people off from trying.
