I'd suggest to reactivate former railroad lines in the TrainSimulator Classic 2024, so everyone which wasn't able to drive on this lines due lifetime get a virtual impression of former lines as they were active. One of them lead once to my familiar roots village - It's the former bavarian local line from Nabburg to Schönsee. The local line "Nabburg - Oberviechtach - Schönsee" was a non electrified, 46km long single track railroad line in bavaria in germany. The last part of this line between Nabburg and Oberviechtach was deactivated 1995 and converted to a bike- and hiking track until 2002. Most of the former station buildings are still there, but are modified to bike stations with repair tools and benches to rest. Some parts of the former railway tracks are now blocked with new buildings but in the simulation this buildings can be removed. This local line gives the driver or passenger a wonderful, picturebook-like journey through the forests and fields of the bavarian landscape due summer as well as in winter. Beside that it would give many scenaries, because there is the Bundeswehr-Location in Oberviechtach, a Sawmill for wood cargo, common cargo and Passenger duty. Scenarios could be like: - Tank delivery for Bundeswehr Oberviechtach - (Bring the carriages with military equipment from Nabburg to the cargo-ramp in Oberviechtach) - Tree delivery for the Lind Sawmill - (Bring carriages with trees from Schönsee to the Sawmill in Lind village so they can make logs and boards from it) - Logs and Boards for Nabburg - (Bring the finished logs and boards from the Sawmill in Lind village to the cargo-ramp at Nabburg station) - Common cargo for all stations on the line - (Bring Post, Packages and other Cargo for the daily needs from Nabburg to all stations on the line. Stop your train on the cargo-ramps to get load/unload the utilities) - Passengers from Nabburg to Oberviechtach - (Drive your Passengers from Nabburg to Oberviechtach and make stop on every station) - Passengers from Nabburg to Schönsee - (Drive your Passengers from Nabburg to Schönsee and make stop on every station) - Storm damages - (The railway company got notifications from passengers, that after a storm some trees lay over the tracks between Winklarn and Schönsee. Bring the railroad workers with an construction train directly to the location of the fallen trees, load the trees to your carriage and bring them to the sawmill in Lind village) The line was driven by steam locomotives BR86 and BR44 and diesel locomotives BR295 and BR218. The VT98 (BR98 too) was the last used type for passenger transport until the line was closed. The driving speed was average 50km/h (some small parts with 40km/h and 60km/h) and there were many small railroad-crossings with an "P" - sign, where the locomotive driver needed to use the steam whistle or the horn. What do you mean? Best regards
