I recently caved and purchased the Birmingham to Crewe route really enjoying it, brought the cross country 220 as I do like the train and it suits this route. Anyway I read ATS had updated the airport commuter route so thought I'd try the 220, however I cannot use it as in the menu it says it's the "Riviera" version? I find this odd as the train did not technically come with this route at default and was a paid extra? Would you class this as a bug, I could understand if it was Rivera default stock, seems a bit unfair really.
Can you elaborate? You should be able to play it, although whether you actually spawn in the train or not is another matter entirely!!
All the layers for the 220 will have the ‘RIV’ in it, it’s just the reference name. Try restarting the game or reinstalling the DLC/ verifying your files if on steam,
Yeah I was spawning on the station away from the train in timetable mode. I remember in classic that usually meant you did not have the correct train purchased. Perhaps I need to have a walk around. Just seemed odd never happened before I usually load up a timetable and I'm in the train ready to go.
There is a bug in MAC that all northbound 220 services spawn you randomly at a station. Try one of the southbound services and they should work. (May have the directions the wrong way around, but whichever doesn’t work, try the opposite).
Best thing to do with those services is to spawn at the station on foot a few minutes before start time and then take over the train manually by entering cab and sitting in drivers seat. You will be fine to drive them. They aren't exactly thrilling though.
Looks like you are correct I can drive out of Manchester ok, just cannot head into Manchester. Bit stupid really. Thanks for your help
