Fairbanks-Morse manufactured diesel engines during WWII for naval use, specifically submarines. Their engines were an interesting design: an opposed-piston engine. The British used a similar design on the Class 55 Deltics. The FM opposed-piston engine was supposed to be a lower maintenance engine, but it was ultimately unsuccessful on railroads because of maintenance issues and roughness of the rails, so the company stopped making trains. FM still exists, however. I really want to see some of the FM diesels made for TS2018/19. Hopefully, the designers get the engines and other sound effects right. Here are some possible locos TS2018 has possible route for. We also need great 1950s and 60s rolling stock. -H-10-44: ATSF, PRR, B&O, D&RGW, UP -H-12-44: ATSF, PRR, SP, CN -H-16-44: B&O, CP, CN, NH, PRR, ATSF, UP -H-24-66 Trainmaster: CP, CN, PRR, SP -Erie-Built A/B units: PRR, UP, ATSF -C-Liner A/B units: CP, CN, PRR, NH We could also get demo versions of these as Workshop DLC. If I had to pick one of these to make, it would be the SP H-24-66 Trainmasters in both Black Widow and Bloody Nose paint or the PRR Trainmasters.
