Ok so today I'm proposing that DTG should create the NJT ALP-44 electric locomotive with an entire Comet II set. In the late 1980's New Jersey Transit was looking to replace some of the E60 locomotives they were running on the NJCL and Northeast Corridor lines to New York City Penn Station so they ordered 32 of the locomotives dubbed as ALP-44O (original). The first 15 were numbered 4400-4414 which were delivered in 1990, through the mid 1990's 17 more units were ordered 5 of which were ALP-44E (extended) and the last 12 were ALP-44M (microprocessor) which were ordered for Midtown Direct service on the Morris & Essex line and Montclair & Boonton Line. The ALP-44 remained in service until 2012 and are stored on the lackwanna cut off in Stanhope,New Jersey. I think this would be a nice addition to ts2018 being that we now have 2 New Jersey Transit lines technically 3 if you count the NYC-Philadelphia section of the Northeast Corridor (New York-Trenton service) and DTG has made trains from the past that no longer run today but the Comet II railcars are still in service today and I believe this would be another wonderful dlc money maker. img_106243.jpg NJT_ABB_4421.jpg gladstone-3-24-00-p1.jpg comet II.jpg alp-44 with comet II.jpg

Thank you so much for sharing. I feel this locomotive and the PL42AC should've been included with the Morristown route. Both are vital to the route's operations; if DTG made a Comet IV cab why can't they make an ALP-44 that was meant to go with it? (ALP-44M and Comet IV both came out in 1996)

I feel a Comet III would be more fitting, the Comet II's were mostly used with the diesel lines of the Hoboken Division, unless you mean the newer rebuilt versions, the Comet IIM, in that case there is no cab car.
