Hi all, while I personally doubt it's gonna make a difference if I suggest something here or not, I kinda wanna get it off my chest. Behold, its gonna be German only Lets start off with an absolutely legendary electric locomotive: BR103 I doubt this locomotive needs any further introduction. I think it still is an absolutely beautiful locomotive. And while they rarely drive in reallife anymore, if at all, I think TSW2 would be a great way to keep this legend alive. This loco could either come to the game as a loco only DLC, where it could substitute for the BR101 with an extremely slim chance. So that if you were not driving the loco it would be quite rare to see it. Another way would be to introduce it with the fitting wagons as seen in the picture. It could then be introduced in upcoming routes as a "special/festive" train (=Sonderzug). The downside to this would be, that in that case it'd be very unlikely to see that train on any routes that were already released when it came out. So, I'd rather prefer to have the loco standalone and just sub in for the BR101. This wouldn't even be unrealistic as, as far as I know the BR103 was in planned Inter-City service until like 2013(?). I've been fortunate enough to have seen one twice, whooshing past my local train station with a few IC coaches behind it a few years ago. In the game it could be represented in the livery from the picture, the classical "Rheingold" colour scheme with the older "Deutsche Bundesbahn" logo. I don't think "Verkehrsrot" suits the loco really well Onto the next one... BR120 Another locomotive that is quite revolutionary/legendary. It was the first "three-phase" German locomotive and was in service parallel to the BR103. While the 103 might be more known and more popular I still really like the 120 and think TSW2 would be the ideal platform to keep this locomotive alive as well. Sadly, since last year or maybe 2019 this locomotive is also not in service anymore. As it has been suggested several times before, the BR120 could be a way to also introduce the IC Cab Car into the game (hint hint!) For this loco I'd say the most realistic depiction would be as seen in the picture as well in its "Verkehrsrot" livery. Again, the 120 could sub in for the 101, as the coaches are already in game and regarding the cab car it could maybe be handled that if you have the 120 your 101 consists suddenly get the cab car as well. Lets move away now from the Inter-City locomotives though. BR218 I'd arguably say that this is the most popular German Diesel-locomotive. The 218 was used in freight and passenger services and still is in use today. It could basically sub in for nearly everything I'd say. It could be used to pull freight trains as well as it could be used in front of regional trains. Its best use would arguably be on non-electrified railways though. Maybe this could be something for Maik Goltz , but I think he still got loads and loads of work with his other projects and probably also already knows what he wants to do thereafter. I'm just implying that this loco would deserve the TSG treatment BR110 The BR110 is part of the larger E10 loco-family. Whereas the 110 is the passenger derived variant. As seen in the picture above, the locomotive isn't owned by DB anymore, but by the private company AKE that does many railtours with it. If I remember correctly, there was a member on here that is a traindriver for AKE and the BR110. Maybe that could be used as an advantage to gather much needed information that would be required to reproduce this loco accurately in the game. This would also be a nice way to implement something different than anything from DB in verkehrsrot and maybe even AKE-Eisenbahntouristik would be happy as well to be represented in TSW2. Who knows If that would not work out, it'd be cool as well to see the loco in red representing the DB and hauling so called "n-wagen", although that would make it difficult to implement in older routes. And with everything, I think the more a DLC can be used in the game and on different routes - the better BR151 What can I say - I like heavy freight logos with 6 axles that are a little older. This particular loco is quite famous for pulling the huge and heavy "Erzbomber"-trains along the Rhine river in Germany. This loco is also used by a few private cargo companies, so maybe - just maybe- there would be a few options available on how to represent it in the game. As is is a freight locomotive, substituting it into the game would be fairly straightforward. BR152 Something a little more modern. Admittably, there is nothing extremely special about this locomotive, at least for me. But it is kind of an older variant of the TRAXX family. It was built from 1996-2001, so age-wise it is comparable to the BR101. I'd like to see it in the game, as freight is all about diversity. The locomotive is also in use by Captrain, again this would be a nice possibility to bring another private rail company into the game and giving more diversity to the German rails. BR186 Another quite not-so distinguishable locomotive from the rest of the already in the game included same-y locos. The 186 however, is a multi-system electric locomotive, that is used for international freight trains. It is used in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. This unit is also very popular across private cargo companies, as seen in the picture above where it is seen in Railpool's livery. Maybe it'd be easier to include in the game due to the leaked Railpool 185 which would hint that the license is already here. And again, the more different freight locos from different railway companies there are, the better I'd say BR147 Now, this might be quite controversial, as we just recently got the BR187 which itself had a very controversial release, but hear me out. The Br147 is the passenger variant of the 187 and is seen replacing older BR146s in Regional Services. This could also be the way in which the loco could be used in the game. To substitute everywhere the BR146 is used. And this might just be an extreme stretch, but since it is extremely similiar to the BR187 maybe Skyhook games could create this one as well as a little apology for the, quite honestly, botched release of the 187. But I'm probably dreaming way too much. I'd still love to see it though as I quite like the 187 already (probably even more when the fixes are released) and I'd enjoy it even more as a passenger loco. BR401 (ICE 1) Well. The ICE 1 would certainly be my favourite ICE train. It is still in use today and I like it as it really combines old-school and modernity. It shares a few technological components with the BR120, which is also a reason as to why many of the BR120s were retired a bit early as replacement parts for the ICE 1 were needed. It still is my favourite out of the ICE trains and as with everything I'd love to see it ingame. If you have made it this far - thank you. This post is probably pointless, but I really wanted to get this off my chest and in the end if none of these mentioned trains ever make it into TSW I can at least say I have done my part and suggested them. But hope dies last, as we say in Germany. So, thanks for reading and maybe even let me know what you think of the mentioned trains
DB BR155 is an East German locomotive Deutsche Reichsbahn DDR BR250. therefore you are looking at its West German equivalent DB BR151. The iron ore trains for DB BR151 are operated by DB BR189 because it avoids a locomotive change at Duisburg Oberhausen Hbf and Emmerich for a Dutch NS6400 locomotive. Add in DB BR189 and you need to know that when DB BR189 & 151 are operating Iron ore trains a yellow warning triangle is attached to the front meaning C-Akv couplers are equipped including Faals Falrrs Iron Ore wagons.
Ah sorry, I totally didn't notice that I titled it 155 instead of 151. Must've been because I was thinking about the 155 while writing about the inclusion of the 151. And thank you for the... extensive information
