Saw this thread on trainorders.com membership required to access the 2nd page of the GG1 vs Little Joe (Thomas and Friends Gustavo). At the end of the first page the last post mentions a Tug of War between the GG1 vs Little Joe locomotive with the safe bet of Little Joe winning over the GG1.
If we were to add UK and German electric locomotives against the GG1 and Little joe which one of those will win?
In this contest tracks 1-4 are 15kv 16.7hz with the US locomotives GG1 and little joe using the Class 66 coupler setup AAR on bar chain with buffers and chains so that they can couple to their competitors from Germany. Inside the GG-1 and Little Joe they have 15kv 16.7hz Transformers to be at par with their German equivalents from Federal Republic of Germany DB and German Democratic Republic Deutsche Reichsbahn. From left to right it goes Track 1 GG-1 vs DB BR 110.3 Track 2 Little Joe vs DB BR 193 & 194 Krokodil Track 3 Little Joe double vs DB BR 150 Double formation and lastly Track 4 Little Joe vs Deutsche Reichsbahn GDR 211 coupled to 242 Holzroller due to their mixed traffic designs. Little Joe Hiawatha Train while Stadtseexpress for DR BR211 & 242
Next tracks are UK Classes 80-86 voltage is 25kv 50 hz for the tracks. American electric locomotives use Class 66 coupler setup AAR on bar chain with buffers and chains and transformers for 25kv 50hz due to their setup being 11kv 16.7-25hz PRR GG-1 while Little Joe is 3kv Dc.
From Tracks 5-11 starting with Track 5 GG-1 vs Class 80. Followed by Track 6 GG-1 vs Class 81, and Track 7 Little Joe vs Class 82 Track 8 Class GG-1 vs Class 83 (the prototype for Simrail PKP EU07 EU06 locos) Track 9 Little Joe vs Class 84 Track 10 GG-1 with Little Joe vs British Railways Class 85 double. Lastly on Track 11 GG-1 PRR/Amtrak vs Class 86.
From this contest I described here which countries electric locomotives from the 1950s-1970s will win? My guess is that the American GG-1 and Little Joe will win over their British Equivalents but 50/50 win or lose to their German equivalents from West Germany and the former East Germany. Due to their tractive force almost at par with the German freight electric locos
