The LMS Princess Royal Class was the railway's first 4-6-2 pacific type locomotive, and its design was actually based off of the Great Western Railway King Class 4-6-0. This should come as no surprise, considering the locomotive's designer, William Stanier, originally came from the GWR. They were originally used to pull the "Royal Scot" passenger trains between London Euston Station and Glasgow Central Station. These locomotives would eventually become the basis for the similar but bigger Coronation Class Locomotives. There were a total of 12 locomotives ever built, and they even survived into British Railways days. They were retired as part of BR's modernization plan, with retirement of these locomotives beginning in 1961, and the last one was withdrawn the following year. Out of these 12 built, only two survived into preservation: LMS 6201 (BR 46201) "Princess Elizabeth", owned by the 6201 Princess Elizabeth Society, and LMS 6203 (BR 46203) "Princess Margaret Rose", owned by the Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust. I believe this locomotive type is important for Train Simulator, not only because you can use this locomotive for excursion runs, but also to recreate any former LMS route into any time period you want. Here, I'll show you the photos of the liveries this Add-On should include with it. And also, as always, please tell me your opinions on my proposal. Your voice really matters to me, and I always wanna hear your opinions.
You might do well to ask Bossman Games as they develop with a catalogue of fine LMS locos. https://www.bossmangames.co.uk/
From what my understanding is, within the next year or so Caledonia Works will be making the Princess Royal class as per a Facebook post on their page. Kris makes wonderful models for TS.
