Loading from saved game is broken in most cases. One work around normally works is to spawn on foot then take over that service , I've done that on several services which get stuck on red and can compete with no issues.

Please note it might not work on all services.

I have the exact same issue but on PS4. Second scenario of the journey system, from Brighton to Victoria station, platform #14. There are twelve (!) trains ahead of me waiting for their red signals, while I'm stuck about 3.5 miles out.

I did not load a save.

Like in your video, when you show the map of Victoria station at the end, notice how to the left of our track #14 there is a long train with one end ever so slightly sticking out over our track. I got out and took a passing train as a passenger to Victoria to check things out. That long train is a class 377 that wants to depart southwards, but has to cross our track. It has a yellow signal but is not moving because the switch in front of it is set for us, not for it.

Its nose sticking out over our track is enough that IRL it would cause a collision. I don't know if that is reason enough for us to get red signals, because of an unsafe situation?

Also, as a last resort I took over its service but for the life if me could not get that train to move. I'd apply traction but nothing would happen.

Let's hope DTG can resolve these red signal issues, it's apparently a tough issue to diagnose.
