Below is a list of locations which are extant on London Commuter, albeit not utilised in the current timetable. This list shows how many extra & extended services would be generated per day (based off current weekday timetables) Streatham Hill Station & Streatham Hill Depot Brand new services: 20 Extended services: 80 This line is the route that continues straight on from the junction at Balham. It adds an additional mile to the route length as well as a considerable number of services. West Croydon & Norwood Junction Brand new services: 143 Extended services: 135 This line has a service every 15 minutes or so, and also would allow for significant extra ECS moves in and out of Selhurst Depot. Most of the new services are because of ECS moves to and from the turnback siding at West Croydon Hove Brand new services: 108 Extended services: 61 This station is 1½ miles from Brighton Station, and would provide an opportunity for the 313's to run some passenger services on the route (The Hove shuttle as well as some random other services along the West Coastway). It would also allow the extension of services from Preston Park to Hove, meaning that services from London Victoria could terminate at a more major station. Reedham & Coulsdon Town Stations Brand new services: 2 Extended services: 70 These 2 stations would add 1½ miles to the route, and would allow for 2 early morning services to Tattenham Corner from Purley to be added into the timetable.
Hove Makes sense because it's Present in BML Map but Trains tend to use Hove Preston Park Tunnel and then reverse to Brighton from Preston Park.
From RTT this seems to only happen overnight (2326 - 0636), the rest of the time services continue to Worthing, Littlehampton or out to Portsmouth / Southampton
A great suggestion, much agreed. Was really surprised Norwood Junction, Reedham and Coulsdon Town weren't included on the route, would have given the London Bridge services via Purley a bit more freshness. On the subject of extensions, would love to see the Wivelsfield branch with Plumpton and Cooksbridge. While less likely than the other suggestions here considering it's an extra 9 miles, but, on the plus side, it's just countryside and rural stations.
If we ever get a Class 700, I’d love for it’s routes to be included as well as an extension to the BML
like the most important one I would love DTG to do something like with Glossop line for this where you can go to the next part of the service but across the two routes
Coulsdon Town and Reedham make sense as they are modelled in game and the current route goes right by them. Norwood Jct also works because again it is (partially modelled). I also find it annoying that services due to stop here go right through.
Absolutely agree. Other stations that should've been modelled with London Commuter too are Hove, Streatham and maybe even West Croydon.
These are some good and quite achievable suggestions. I'd love to see more freight locations used too, such as: Tarmac, Day Aggregates, Hardcrete and London Concrete at Nine Elms; Day Aggregates and London Concrete at Purley; and CEMEX and Day Aggregates at Crawley (more information in my post here).
