My next attempt to build a masterlist is for London Commuter. Let's begin.... 1. Additional layers using the upcoming Class 377/2, 378 and the Class 710 if applicable subject to optimization. 2. General scenery enhancements across the route. 3. Inclusion of the TV masts at Croydon and Crystal Palace to be visible from locations between Clapham Junction and East Croydon as per reality as they can be seen for miles. Also the anti collision lighting visible at night with static red lights on the Croydon mast and a white strobe on the Crystal Palace mast. I look forward to further suggestions to add to this list.
We could have the 350 from WCML layer as an unbranded 450 on the SWML between Battersea and Clapham. We'd have to settle for unbranded unless a license for SWR/SWT is secured, but it'd serve as a placeholder waiting for an actual 450.
Possible but would require performance optimization to work as would any other layer beyond those already included.
If performance optimisation is possible, the route would be even busier still. We could eventually see services using the other 377 subclasses as well as Thameslink 12 car 700/1 variant.
I forget that not everyone can use the mods. I already have thameslink services thanks to the class 700 mod on trainsimcz. I think it would be possible for dtg to add these without the remaster. The lighting on this route is ok, if dtg upgrade it to tod4 Its going to spoil it.
I am not against a remaster,if they can keep the frame rate good. This lovely old nail was put on the service because of work on the juice rail today. Gave me an idea for layers or timetable, replacement service's. I have to say if they re make rather than remaster a bit of extra extension of the route, I'd buy again either way. It's another DTG all time great route. If renewed I would like Waterloo added for the variety.Don't know if that's asking too much though.
I’ll add to this list 4. Bin the Southeastern trains diversion route and replace it with a 700 Brighton to East Croydon. 5. Add the 442 for some older Gatwick Express trains.
Waterloo is not part of BML and is best left for a South Western route. I too would re buy any UK routes with extended sections but this won't happen with a remaster as it exceeds the scope of such a project. Routes I would re purchase include.... BML with the Wivelsfield branch and/or London Bridge. ECW with Ashford or at least Hastings/Ore. GWE with all Thames Valley branches, passenger and freight. TVL with Boulby and Bishop Auckland. PFV extended to Derby. On the other hand, Route Hopping now makes it feasible to sell us shorter/cheaper mini routes. Perhaps branch line packs for around £10 to £12 could become a thing?
Personally I like the SE layers, and the Thameslink services need the 700/1. Also, 442s, although nice, predate the represented route but may work as part of a GatEx Legends pack with 460s, 423s, and 73/488/489 sets.
Same, I would also do it if they extended it to swindon or Even though there is a Really good looking remaster if they modernised it to now(one way they could do it is make us pay full price and put GWE 2016 then GWE 2017 and GWE 2024 when in timetable, of course if you own them)
I think the Mini Route is a brilliant idea. If it happens you should be given credit. Expanding what's already there. Don't know who runs out of where at the moment. So apologies.
There is something that has to be stated: Class 700/0 and class 700/1 (if made) could have it's timetable without killing this route, trainsimcz proved it, whether is it due to consoles being consoles or DTG being DTG I leave up to speculations; If they don't want to make seperate timetable (at least for now) I don't see a reason why they couldn't just allow class 377/2 to substitute onto existing class 377 services, especially on Milton Keynes services, this could also solve issue with train numbering due to number of services there are; Poor performance probably isn't as much due to timetable density as everyone thinks, after TSW5 launch I had worse time running WCML than BML and I would say my PC is pretty decent.
I think this could be released with an add-on like the class 455, as it would be a different experience to drive, and would add some variety north of Purley.
Apparently this is something that’s coming, or has been tested out at least, on the GWE remaster for layers at Reading.
Where did this information come from shredder as I must have missed it. Great news if true as parts of Reading look decidedly deserted at present.
I asked last night over in the ‘GWE Remaster Layers’ thread in general discussion. It’s a few posts back, but Liam said something along the lines of: he’s tried it out and it works well, however with the current performance issues it’s something he’s still working on. I was surprised too, as I’d been pondering the 350’s as 450’s for an insanely busy Clapham Junction on the BML 2.0 Remaster!
Most interesting. This would certainly make the South side platforms at Reading seem more alive. My only additional hope is that we see more frequent Turbos on North Downs services as well. Thanks shredder .
Yes, needed. Inclusion of Stewarts Lane Depot would allow for ECS moves for the GX 387s as they use it.
Norwood Junction definitely should have been in seeing how close you can get to it. The southern train is or should be on the platform I’m in the train on the right.
Both Stewart’s Lane and Hove Sidings should be opened up, as they’re both populated by stock overnight in game! Stewart’s Lane is fairly well modelled too!
