I am suggesting a route which runs from london Liverpool Street down to Southend Victoria. This route would include the class 321 and the class 720. The class 321 would have the following livery’s. The class 720 would only have the livery below. Some trains would also run down and up to Liverpool Street from southminster however most terminate at Wickford. From london Liverpool Street to shenfield also has london overground or ( dependant on when it is set) crossrail services, however these do not have to be added however it would be nice if it was. Possible loco dlc Class 360, this would run from Liverpool Street to shenfield and in real life would to Colchester and the area surrounding it Overall, I think that this route has potential and would sell well as it was the first route to be electrified.
Class 360 don’t go to Cambridge that’s the waml and Thameslink dont go out into shenfield or Essex and the Stanstead express train wouldn’t stop at shenfield
The Class 321 would need multiple different interiors. The two you've shown are the Greater Anglia Renatus livery which have fully refurbished interiors whilst the other one is Ex-National Express East Anglia which I believe would still have the old NXEA interior. Only the Renatus 321s and Ex-Northern 321s and 322s are still running on the GEML of that family of trains and the 360s are now in service with East Midlands Railway so for an up to date route these couldn't be used, though the transitional period with the new stock replacing the old would be very interesting. The DB/EWS 66s could layer on with the JNA (and possibly HKA) representing aggregate freight from Marks Tey and Ipswich Griffin Wharf, containers would be ideal but DB don't run containers on the GEML,at least not any that I've seen, Freightliner would be ideal (and Matt can finally get his pink shed then). Either way, I wholeheartedly support any East Anglian content, would be an excellent addition to the game.
Let me guess part of the train simulator 2022 Classic route Great Eastern main line. If you want recent trains on this route you have Class 745 Dual Mode and Class 755 25kv 50hz only. An interesting scenario might happen for Class 745 is that your pantograph has failed and you must complete the service to London Liverpool Street on Diesel power only. This will be a hard difficulty scenario like RRO Technical Difficulties
Other way round, 745s are the 12 car Intercity and Stansted Express units so are elctric. 755s are 3 or 4 car bi-modes mostly for branchline use. 755s are pretty rare running on the GEML to Liverpool Street, there's been 1 or 2 about this last week though, I saw one running the express from Norwich to Liverpool Street which was quite the surprise.
And precisely how long is this route? Whilst it could be within the bounds of route design, it is quite long and features many stations, thus it is a bit touch and go as to the feasibility.
41 miles and 42 chains (66.83km) according to Wikipedia. Not sure how many stations but obviously the mainline to London has a lot mostly served by TfL Rail
6 Stations on Greater Anglia and 13 on TFL rail - Liverpool Street to Shenfield. These numbers include stations that include both.
If I’m hounest, I travel on the 321’s quite a bit and do know about the different interiors however they are the only images of more or less up to date 321 liveries. Also, completely agree with the transitional period. Thank you for posting such an informative comment that wasn’t written in a slightly rude way!
As you might be able to tell, I'm rather passionate about my local railway line, always happy to share my observations from spotting along the GEML over the past few years. On the subject of train interiors, here is 322482 sporting three different generations of seat covers:
