The Chiltern Main Line is a picturesque and well-traveled railway route that stretches from London Marylebone to Birmingham Snow Hill, offering passengers a delightful journey through the charming countryside of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Departing from the historic Marylebone station in central London, the route takes travellers on a scenic adventure through some of England's most beautiful landscapes. There are a total of 19 stations on this route which is 62 miles or 100 KM long. This includes: London Marylebone, Wembley Stadium, Sudbury and Harrow Road, Sudbury Hill Harrow, Northolt Park, South Ruislip, West Ruislip, Denham, Denham Golf Club, Gerrards Cross, Seer Green, Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, Saunderton, Princes Risborough, Haddenham and Thame Parkway, Bicester North, Kings Sutton and Banbury. London Marylebone London Marylebone is a historic and bustling railway station located in the heart of the city, offering a unique blend of Victorian architecture and modern amenities. Opened in 1899, the station serves as a major transportation hub and a gateway to the picturesque Chiltern Hills and beyond. A unique fact about this station is that it is the only terminating station in London that is not electrified. There are plans to electrify the Chiltern Mainline but not in the near future. London Marylebone has 6 platforms and from here you can catch trains to places such as Oxford, Aylesbury and Birmingham. Banbury The TOC for this route is Chiltern Railways and they operate Class 165s, Class 168s and Class 68s. The rolling stock that I would like on this route are: Class 165 Top speed - 75 mph or 121KM/h Class 68 Top speed - 100 mph or 160 KM/h Layers Class 166 GWR for owners of London to Reading. These would be idle trains at Banbury station only.
