Just went through the intro.

Strangely, a lot of history about the North London line and it says 'north-west London'. I would confidently say it is north-east.

Was the intro meant for the other line?

The intro says "Welcome to Gospel Oak Station located in North West London"

This is correct as Gospel Oak is in Camden which is North West London.

That said, yes the line does travel to East London so maybe the end of the intro should have said something about exploring North London rather than North West.

Right, well first impressions are that this is a very well-modeled route. Seeing a little of the London skyline is great, though Canary Wharf and the docklands towers are strangely absent as is, and I'll have to check again, Barking's Creek's iconic Flood Barrier. Otherwise it's very true to the route, certainly on the section I know well between the River Lea and Barking Reach.

Barking, place of birth and where I worked, is superbly captured, it seems a waste to just use it for this line. Eh DTG? The lack of LU Surface Stock and C2C trains is noticeable but unavoidable at present within TSW.

Noticed that fog cleared suddenly, some passengers seemed to get stuck getting on and off the train and while sitting up front but not driving the speedometer was stuck on 0 mph.

It's a shame you can't leave Riverside and go to look at the river, it's a 1 minute stroll and would have been a nice touch, like sitting on the beach on the Cornwall route. I appreciate this isn't a water-therapy simulator but, you know, sometimes a moment's contemplation in a virtual world is nice.

Overall, 9/10 during the day, 7/10 at night as the orange/yellow glow that exists over the capital is absent and noticeable.

 

As I have said, this route just has nowt that makes me want to buy it, unless going for, say, 50% off. It is a short stop, start commuter line, with an average speed (when taking away the stops) of only about 26MPH on a modern commuter electric unit that will be at the speed limit by the end of the platform, at which point you'll have to think about stopping again. Not my cuppa tea.

 

I've just watched a live stream of this route and a passenger was walking across the track not good really

 

There seems to be some unfortunate texture issues on the Xbox One X.

I do genuinely appreciate the fact the last gen platforms continue to be supported, but it’s not ideal when you can’t make out the switches in the cab or the station names on the platform.

Fingers crossed something can be implemented to address some of these issues.

I cant load the route full stop as soon as i try to play a service it crashes TSW4, just removed the only mod i have and its not helped.

I had this on PC, I had to uninstall any mods that cover multiple UK lines (such as God Mode, signals, weather and lighting mods). To be safe, either deselect mods if you have the TSW Mod Manager or move any mods to a safe place while using TSW for that route.

I tried both methods and both worked. Good luck.

 

Yeah, it's not going to do it for people who love older trains, fast driving or scenic routes. I grew up in Barking with electric suburban routes, so most of the routes in TSW haven't been for me yet but I'm building my collection up for the future. Horses for courses and all that.

I'm sorry to hear that. Might be worth running the "Verify integrity of game files" Right click Train Sim World 4 in Steam, then it's in the Installed Files menu.

I don't recommend doing that for Train Sim Classic though, it wipes all enhancement packs. Just in case.

Other than reinstalling it, if the above doesn't work you may have to put in a ticket to DTG.

 

fixed it, it was the enhanced signal visuals mod that was breaking it for me! but it doesent show up in the mod manager.

I have made it very clear what I would like to see (look at my signature for a start), and have made suggestions in the past. In fact the route I have wanted to see most in the game came to it in TSW4.

 

Well, you're getting a BR Green diesel in Peak Forest soon.

There's got a mod for 700s on the BML but it's likely on DTGs "To do" list as many more will buy the 700 if it gets a proper route to run on.

The Class 91/Mark 4 sets are such an obvious pick for the ECML that I think it's only a matter of time. In fact with them disappearing soon, there's been no better time to get recordings of them and sell them in the excellent "New" LNER livery, though duffers like me wouldn't mind a version in the old Intercity Swallow colours too.

It will soon be time for some new suggestions.

 

Haha yes! TSW4 does seem to be doing me well, I am going to need some new things to be annoyed at/on the wish list soon!

MY First impression very shallow game & AI detail even by there standards very Dis-appointed that they did not include North or West London lines heavily Bugged to point where it caused the game to crash & close overral verdict

Surely you knew when purchasing the route it would be only the Suffragette line and nothing else?

Also, if you're experiencing a crash or a game breaking bug some details will help.

 

I'm really enjoying the route so far and have had zero issues with it to which is nice.

Overall I'm really happy with this dlc and I would highly recommend it

So after every single release of tsw4 dlcs, all mods are basicly not working anymore?

 

It's a bit like most PC games that are mod-able in that respect. Some Mods can break when there's a game update or new DLC so it's a matter of waiting for that Mod to be updated to work with that new DLC or core update.

I've had a play around and it's none of the mods for other specific routes, I was able to run GOBLIN with about 40 mods for other DLCs without any problems it appears to be God Mode, Signal patches and weather patches. Give it a week or two and some, if not most, will be updated to work on GOBLIN.

Hi, this route has been crashing on PC and unable to load at all alongside the ECML Peterborough - Doncaster route. The class 710/2 loads fine in other routes. Please put in a fix for this.

 

If you have any mods that apply to all routes such as God Mode, weather, signal and sounds effects then you will need to either deactivate them if you use TSW Mod Manager or move them out of the TSW file until those mods are updated to include GOBLIN.

You may also have to verify the integrity of TSW files through Steam too.

i have loads of mods installed on PC steam and no issues been on the route all day even just come off 4 hours livestreaming it with no issues not one crash but there is 1 major issue that bugs me to the core wink wink and that that is the Behaviour of the NPC's (Passengers) coming off the train and standing in front of the doors has happened witch this issue is way out of control and needs to be fixed big time many routes have that issue but a new one im seeing now with the london overground is they want to come off the train as soon as they enter the doors circling around and even walking through the doors i even has 2 of them on the trucks and ran over them not good at all sorry but the NPC issues are major and need to be look at on PC Steam edition of TSW4 as im scared now its going to keep going on until this years Major core update wink wink TSW4 Season 2

 

putting it in more subtle sort of way they have done a lot better on smaller routes Manchester to Glossip being a prime example.

As for crashing i can help you if you experiencing the same the frame drops dramaticaly then the game closes & you end up getting an error report to fill in from Sony who hopefully pass it on to dovetail

Only reason for it was the EMU the BR 710 as for the rest it was purchased with a certain amount of regret

This may have been mentioned but doors are closing automatically, as they should do if inactive at stations but they're triggering the interlock when they should remain unlocked and available for passengers to open them. Loving the Aventra, it's a shame there's not much of an opportunity to get some speed up. It's made me want a route with a 100mph Aventra even more now.

I haven't found the ducks yet. But there is a secret place to go and sit by a river, which pleased me more than it should have!

 

I couldn’t stop playing Blackpool Branches when it released, this route is the same, love it.

DTG have done a fantastic job on the scenery, enjoyable scenarios and a lovely EMU. Great value for money.

 

Mastery is completable This route is gorgeous. On par with Blackpool.
