    Good afternoon everyone,

If you have any questions you want us to address, please send them in this thread! :)
As a reminder, we may not get to all questions on the stream, but we will look through this thread in preparation.

Out of all the Overground lines, why was this particular one chosen?

Also, a lot of UK content is focused solely on modern EMU’s - can we expect any change from that pattern? A more related question being, why do the route in this era, rather than something abit older (and potentially more varied with the rolling stock)?

    1. Are there any unique features on the 710? Anything to do on the TMS?
    2. What was enticing about bringing the London Overground to TSW?
    3. In the timetable is it just 4 car services? Are there more formations in scenario planner?

Why the shortest part of the London Overground?
Did you include ANY depots the 710s use?

Having worked at Barking Station and East Ham Depot I'm a little worried that it's going to look unconvincingly quiet around that area.
Are there any plans for there to be AI traffic there? (even plain white 710s in lieu of C2C 720s would help?) Are there going to be stabling runs to East Ham Depot sidings?

Also, the Suffragette Line was used to connect the rest of the LMS to the London, Tilbury & Southend Line which must be one of the most requested routes that's never appeared in a Train Simulator.

Please DTG, look across the Estuary towards your neighbours in Essex and give us the bustling network of passenger and freight operations that the LTS offers. Could be a great introduction for AC Slam-door trains which are also totally missing from TSC and TSW.

When will we get the fast moving external camera for consoles back? It's missing since the release of TSW4. Railfanning is nearly impossible now in TSW4.

Class 104s operated the line back in Network South East days. With 104s (albeit in original condition) coming to TSW soon, is there a chance of a Heritage Timetable between Barking and Gospel Oak?

Is the Aventra traction audio genuine or is it just copy and paste from electrostar audio? Can we actually set the destination displays for once as per reality?

Why is there such a big emphasis on the 'official TfL licensing', no other licensed route has had such a big emphasis on this. Could this be a hint that we could see further related content soon?

Okay and sorry if already asked…
Why £25 for such an incredibly short route with very little replay value after a couple of runs in each direction?
Why was this not planned as a combined North London and Goblin Line which would have been well worth paying £25 or £30 for?
Why is this yet another ultra modern route with a one handled EMU? Wouldn’t it have been more interesting when the line was operated by Class 150’s or 172’s or even earlier heritage DMU’s with a chance to layer in the classic traction collection?
Are there plans to use this line as a springboard for a bigger North London network, add the NLL, rework Bakerloo and add in the full DC line from Euston to Watford?
Or is it just another fire and forget DLC?

    Edit:
One more… Why no preorder discount to £22.50 which might just have tipped the balance in favour of buying on release rather than waiting for a sale later in the year, or not at all?

(Knowing that this will be a "no plans" answer but):
Do you consider adding passenger announcements to this DLC as an upgrade in the future once you found a way to implement the respective technique into the core (as Matt previously said you would try to work on)?

I mean for rapid transit services like that it's kind of predestinated if not elementory. Would really raise up the value of this DLC for me. Not necessarily need official and licensed recordings.

Seeing as there is a large emphasis on the TFL branding and using the new line name. Will you be updating the branding/signage/line colours towards the end of the year once the Overground rebrand has be finalised?

Im a sucker for modern emus but I do agree the route would have been better with 172s and 150s

Good afternoon! Really hyped for this route as I love anything London based. Only disappointment for me is the lack of realistic announcements. As Rivet Games have managed to implement auto announcing, is this not something they could have helped you with? Really hope to see that added in the future.

A 378 wouldn't really make sense since the route is set when the 710 are the main rolling stock that runs on the line

Agree, the 378s were reduced to 4 cars and stepped in as a temporary measure because the 172s were off-lease and due to commence service in the West Midlands. I seem to recall it took about a month before the 378s gave way to new 710s.
So the 378s would be for AI only at Gospel Oak at the moment.

Why make the Suffragette Line and not make both the Mildmay Line and Suffragette Line like it was done in TSC? This makes the route have poor value to those that aren't necessarily a fan of Metro Style roues especially considering that it is 13 miles with only one train running along the line

good morning/afternoon/evening dtg & trains enthusiast alike!
My first question is how many services in this timetable?
    2. Will there be any layers or any AI rollingstock not a part of the route?
    3. will there be any new features alongside this route, something like guard mode?
    4. will electrical Sparks be featured in this route/specifically for the train?
    5. last question... how long is the route?

Not many I think, but the average journey will take around 45 minutes end to end.

Im gonna assume none of the devs really check the discussion threads so Im gonna repeat it here. Theres an error you have made where by when the doors close automatically they lock. In reality they close and remain unlocked and the passenger will press the button for the specific set of doors to open again.

I noticed this when Matt arrived at Barking, he opened the doors showed us around and returned to the train to find the doors had all closed. Great. Once he went to the cab and tried to 'lock' the doors they just opened again which shows they locked for some strange reason..

Please get onto this asap. Please dont let this remain until release and then have us wait indefinately for a fix.

And yes before anyone asks. I have the Class 800/1 LNER Azuma trains, I also have the Gatwick Express trains, the Class 700 ThamesLink trains, I also have the steam trains, the Class 66 EWS train, the Class 33 WSR train, the Class 20 train, The class 37/7 ROG.

I basically have 57 DLC's in my TSW 4 game on my PS4, most of them are British, some are American and some are German. I also have the Southeastern and all fhe British DLC's .

I also have the 1938 London Underground Tube Stock too, Flying Scotsman .

I also have the FKA wagons, the Class 66 (as mentioned above), I also have all the Class 66 variants, the Rail Treatment Train, Diesel and Steam rail bundles too.

Matt showed the new passenger animations and I was wondering if they'll be for other routes (as in core update) or it's only for passengers this one?

You already asked the question once. No need to ask it again. I haven't watched the stream, but from articles they have provided, I haven't seen gen8 vs gen9 layers.

Was this really necessary to say? No one's attacking the amount of DLC you have. and like rennekton said, you already asked this question. No need to spam again. We have received no official information about Gen 8 vs Gen 9 layers. If Gen 8 consoles can support it, you'll have them. If it's too much for the Gen 8 consoles to handle, we won't. We probably won't know until release. He may have answered it in the stream, but you'd have to watch it to find out because I have not seen it yet.

So I watched sections of the preview stream, London is not that quiet. Even taking out the lack of Station announcements (Seriously though, why is this still a thing?) London was really quiet and not life like. Also, Why no Tube stock at Barking station? I know it's not the right tube stock but just something to show the London Underground there would have been great. Same with C2C as well. Just something to show how busy an interchange Barking Station is. Instead we got another ghost town representing a major station. I think I'll be voting with my wallet on this DLC and I won't be purchasing it anytime soon.

Just catching up on the preview stream, were they deliberately not mentioning the c2c line? When summarising the map, Matt referred to a 'Tube depot' west of Barking station (it's not, it's c2c's East Ham depot) and only mentioned the District line at Barking (whereas it is of course a mix of District, Hammersmith & City and c2c services). Barking station is managed by c2c but only ever got mentioned as a "District line station"!

    Hello everyone,

I'll be closing off this thread and giving a few answers to questions that either weren't covered on the livestream or that I feel can be answered again.

I've timestamped the preview stream with key highlights only, so please feel free to skim through and you'll be able to find questions through the chat panel.

    London Overground Suffragette Line Preview

Q: Will there be goblin-themed collectables?
Yes! You can find Matt hunting one of them down on our preview from 46:37 onwards (Spoiler: He finds it at 50:00)

Q: Where was the Class 710 audio sourced?

We've had a couple of recording trips out to record the audio directly from the Class 710, Matt answers this at 45:04

Q: Why is there no pre-order for this route?

We don’t always have pre-orders for every release, and due to additional external reasons, it wasn’t something we were able to setup.

Q: Any significance to the emphasis on 'official TfL licensing'?

Nothing special to announce on this, we're very grateful to have worked with TfL for this route release. We answered the potential of future TfL development on stream at 39:41

Q: Are there future plans with this route or the Bakerloo Line?

Nothing to announce, what we showcased on the preview last night is what will be included in the release. We will share any news for upcoming developments in our roadmap.

Q: Are you adding passenger announcements to this route in the future?

We currently don't have any plans to introduce this feature, we will let you know if that changes. For the release, there won't be on-board announcements on the Class 710.

Q: Will the 710 be compatible with the ROG Class 37?

We mentioned this briefly on stream, you can couple the 710 to the ROG 37, but you may find this has consequences due to them not being compatible within TSW.

Q: Will we change the Class 710 doors? (In reality, they close and remain unlocked)

Matt talks more in-depth about the door interlocking and limitations on stream at 50:32

Q: Will Gen8 see any difference on this route?

We're still investigating both Gen8 and Gen9 platforms, and we will confirm if there are any differences on a release article on March 19th.

Q: Will the Class 710 be fully compatible in Livery Designer and Formation Designer?

    Yes!

Q: Did we avoid mentioning the c2c line?

Nope, I asked Matt this morning and he just forgot to mention it. To clarify, there is no c2c content or branding featured.
