    About
This part of the East Coast Main Line is known as the main line running between London King's Cross and Edinburgh Waverley stations, via Stevenage, Peterborough, Grantham, Newark North Gate, Retford, Doncaster, York, Northallerton, Darlington, Durham, Newcastle, Morpeth, Alnmouth, Berwick-upon-Tweed and Dunbar. The ECML is part of Network Rail's Strategic Route G. The line would be about 123 km (76 mi).

Intercity 125 (made up of class 43 and mk 3 carriages)

Intercity 225 (made up of class 91 and mk 4, carriages and driving van trailer)

    Class 317

Don't know what other rollingstock would have run on the line at this time, if you know comment below. Would also imagine there was freight as well though also don't know what pulled it.

Really like the idea of getting a 225, but tbh I'd rather it was set in the same era as the Peterborough to Doncaster with some kind of 'merge' option on PS4. Perhaps you reach the end of the modelled area and then it does the loading screen and then moves to the next bit with the same configuration. Of course seamless would be best, but I recognise this may not be possible.

If we have different sections of the ECML in different eras, I fear we will never get a full route all in the same era with the option for full length journeys.

Also, the current LNER 225 livery seems somewhat iconic. I would like to see that, and this wouldn't be possible in that era.

Think any ECML route should be kept in the same period personally. As the post above said, hopefully with a pop up to say to continue service switch to dlc xyz and an option to do so
