Introduction: Introducing the Jubilee line to Train Sim World! The Jubilee Line is the last line built on the London Underground. It runs from Stanmore to Stratford through the suburbs of North West London, the West End South Bank and the Docklands. The route: The route is 36.2 km (22.5 miles) long and runs on the former Stanmore Branch of the Metropolitan line between Stanmore and Finchley Road, open from 1879 to 1934. After Finchley Road, it runs on the former Bakerloo line between Swiss Cottage and Baker Street, which opened in November 1939. It then runs on its dedicated line from Baker Street to Green Park. It later travels on the 1999 Jubilee line extension to Stratford. They have a top speed of 60 mph or 100km/h. These units are similar to the 1995 Tube stock on the Northern line but with minor differences. It is a refurbished version of the 1996 stock, which started operation in February 2017. It even has Automatic Train Operation, a new signalling system to learn in the game. It allows the train to drive itself, with the driver responsible for opening and closing the doors as well as starting up the train. They are famous for their acceleration and deceleration sounds. Route hopping: Jubilee Line <--Stratford Tube Station--Stratford Overground Station--> Mildmay Line Jubilee Line <--Stratford Tube Station--Stratford International--> Southeastern High Speed Jubilee Line <--West Hampstead Tube Station--West Hampstead Overground Station--> Mildmay Line Jubilee Line <--West Hampstead Tube Station--West Hampstead Overground Station--> Mildmay Line Jubilee Line <--Kilburn Tube Station--Brondesbury Overground Station--> Mildmay Line Jubilee Line <--Baker Street Tube Station--> Bakerloo Line Jubilee Line <--Waterloo Tube Station--> Bakerloo Line Why this route is fun and quite interesting: You can route hop between the Jubilee Line at Kilburn and the Mildmay Line at Brondesbury via Shoot-Up Hill Street. It features an abandoned platform at Charing Cross tube station, which became a popular filming location for well-known films such as Skyfall & Thor: The Dark World. The platform is used in a scenario where you will drive the train through the platform as part of filming for an upcoming movie. This scenario is similar to Blockbuster as part of the Antelope Valley Line. Also, the abandoned Charing Cross platform is used in another scenario where you will take museum visitors to visit the platform as part of a guided tour provided by the museum. This scenario is similar to Die Grosse Tour as part of S-Bahn Vorarlberg. Another scenario that involves the abandoned Charing Cross platform consists of driving a train from Stanmore and back via the platform. You first arrive at the southbound platform of Green Park Station to drop off your passengers before travelling to the northbound platform at Green Park Station via Charing Cross. The line features lots of different station architecture from various periods. Although it features the ATO signalling system, it will be disabled for this route. Wembley Park Tube Station serves Wembley Arena, a famous football stadium that also serves various sports events and concerts by famous bands such as Led Zeppelin. This route is perfect for both football fans and rail fans. There are even football scarves used as collectables. A scenario similar to Football Frenzy in the West Coast Main Line South route exists. You drive a train from the depot, then hurry to Wembley Park Tube Station to get everyone home after the football match. It features St John Woods Tube station, which has an old escalator with a nice design, such as the Way Out sign, the colour scheme and the escalator lights. St John Woods Tube Station is the Tube station for Abbey Road Studios, an iconic Beatles landmark. There are some Beatles collectables found around the route, which includes St John Woods. This route is perfect for both Beatles fans and rail fans. Westminster Tube Station has a secret entrance to the House of Parliament. This includes a scenario where you have to transport a member of the parliament to Westminster Tube station. Westminster Tube station has a nice architectural design where the Escalators are stacked above one another and supported on structural columns. Canary Wharf tube station has the largest roundel on the route. It is also a filming location for 28 Days Later and its sequel, 28 Weeks Later, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. You can drive alongside the BR class 484 on Metropolitan line tracks between Wembley Park and Finchley Road. The underground platform on the Jubilee line extension has platform edge doors. Making it the first TSW route to have platform edge doors. The Jubilee line is one of the most popular lines on the London Underground. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Sorry but if you want Underground you need to pick a route which doesn't have ATO as all you'd be doing is opening and closing doors most of the time.
Why not let the developers disable the train's ATO, but the route still takes place in the present day?
I totally agree. I love the depth of the response and I must give credit where it is due to the creator of this thread. I must admit that the detail sets it apart from other Jubilee line suggestions. I really wish that this entices DTG in the future
Something that I say quite often when this point comes up is that ATO is quite a recent addition to the Underground on certain lines and there was quite a long period of time when the Jubilee line ran without ATO, but the roue still looks about the same compared to how it looks today. The route could be set in that time period where it is still virtually the same to how the route looks today but without ATO.
It was completed by 2011, so that period would still be modern-ish. Just lose the 710s as the 378s were in service at the time.
I still think that they should make it optional to drive in manual or automatic like it is in the Roblox Jubilee line experience
I think ATO has become a revolutionary factor of the London Underground so I thought it would be amazing if they could recreate it in the TSW franchise.
