Does anybody know how to stop the 1972 stocking from cutting power and sounding an alarm when I stand up out of the seat

There is no way of stopping it it's the dead man's switch that causes it so if a driver was to pass out when driving the switch will be lifted and the brakes go off

Is it just me that thinks you have no time to set your train up, start handle , destination, lights etc ,before the clock countsdown..By the time you are actually ready to depart, you are running late. This is not just a Underground issue.

Yeah, most routes are like this for me. On the class 101 it's quite bad as although you get 90 seconds, you've also got to set the rear cab. One that isn't a rush is East Coastway which gives you 90 or 120 seconds to prepare the train, this means its not rushed and you have plenty of time.
