Northern line is a 52 station, black color & 36 mile trunk route runs between Morden & the Northern London suburbs. With 2 new stations west of Kennington (9 Elms & Battersea Power) that opened in 2021. The line carried six car 1995 stock fleet & 37 underneath stations (longest in the world), the N.L. got different branches: Mill Hill East, Edgware & High Barnet. Also inside downtown London branches: Bank, BP, Charing X & Morden. Some southbound trains terminate @ Kennington then come back through the loop headed north. Frequency: every 3-6 minutes on all routes, between Battersea & M.H.E. via Charing X every 12 minutes & etc. It also includes a night tube service (every Friday & Saturday night services).

Way too big dude. I would love to see a new underground map. But I think we should dream a little smaller

Since you mentioned some trains reaching Kennington and going back, seems like a good place to end the route, although I'd probably terminate it at King's Cross St Pancras (via Waterloo and London Bridge) for a decent run.

Add in the branch to Bateraea Power Station if set in modern day and we're golden.

Would be better in the 70’s or early 80’s with 1938 and 1959 stock and of course those scary narrow island platforms at several stations. The advantage of the Northern line is that there’s little to no interface or parallel running with BR/NR main lines to be concerned with.

Good idea, the Northern Line would be a great route to have in TSW but I'd rather have a sub-surface route e.g. the Metropolitan Line since we have had a deep-level tube route in the Bakerloo Line :)

Metropolitan Line definitely hoping that JT will bring that route to TSW4,
But I'm thinking Hammersmith and City Line which is a straight run no branches and very possible to include the whole route Hammersmith to Barking, also The District Line which will have to be shorter due to the total of 40+ miles and 60 stations, so I'm thinking Wimbledon to Edgware Road, with rolling stock C69 and Ealing Broadway to Tower Hill with rolling stock D78 including the shuttle service Kensington Olympia to High Street Kensington also using D78 overall it's a decent mileage and a good run in either direction

That's another great idea as it is something different to what has been developed in TSW already :)

The suggestion you made was amazing. I went on the Northern line today and it was amazing. It was rapid and serves multiple renowned stations. The frequency of the trains would add to the fun

Nah, it's a reasonable size and at least you get a few branches and all that

Too big? Largest routes we have are 70-100 plus miles.

Nah I'm all for it, I want modern tube stock in game finally. Though 2009 stock is the dream!

number of stations makes a big difference, this one has a lot to the point it’s probably unrealistic in current development standards. Too many stations easily makes shorter mileage routes even longer than doing long mileage routes with fewer stations.

DTG have done the long mileage routes so far as they don’t have many stations
