South West Trains is a highly requested route, so let’s make a suburban one but also one where you can actually get from point A to point B directly in THREE ways. London to Guildford allows this to happen. The rolling stock will be run on Class 444, 450 and 455 trains, with a possibility of adding the 456. Here are the stops. Main Line/PDL route London Waterloo Vauxhall Queenstown Road Clapham Junction Earlsfield Wimbledon Rayners Park (Epsom Line Branchoff) New Malden Berrylands Surbiton Esher Hersham Walton-on-Thames Weybridge Byfleet & New Haw West Byfleet Woking (Switches onto Portsmouth Direct Line) Worplesdon Guildford (lines from Effingham link up) Line via Epsom Raynes Park Motspur Park Worcester Park Stoneleigh Ewell West Epsom Astead Leatherhead Brookham Effingham Junction (links up to Cobham line) Line via Cobham Surbiton Hinchley Wood Claygate Oxshott Cobham & Stoke d’Abernon Effingham Junction (line from Epsom) Horsley Clandon London Road (Guildford) Guildford (line links up to PDL) Layers and additional locos Class 166 - Guildford Class 377 - Seen at Clapham, Wimbledon, and drivable in between Epsom and Leatherhead/Guildford Class 387 - Clapham Junction Class 700 - Wimbledon Services I don’t know the frequency, so here are some routes you could drive Metro routes only between London-Clapham London-Guildford via Cobham London-Guildford via Epsom London-Epsom London-Chessington South as far as Motspur Park London-Woking London-Dorking (as far as Leatherhead) SOUTHERN SERVICES Victoria (only starting at Epsom)-Dorking (Leatherhead) Victoria (only starting at Epsom)-Guildford Any SWML routes between London-Woking Any PDL routes between London-Guildford via SWML Why this route? This route is a good option for SWT as you can go between London and Guildford with THREE options to drive. Bored of seeing suburban and countryside via Cobham? Try the main line. Seeing too many trains or just want a different operator? Going via Epsom will provide for you. I didn’t put too much effort into this forum, so I’m sorry about that. If I make any mistakes, sorry about that.
Use to be local to this route... well I am still on the SWML just not where I was then. Must say it's be a good choice with potential for a 455 in southern for southern mole valley services. The trains would be 444, 450, two variants of the 455 then. And a 455 would be very nice as an edition. If we added the short Hampton Court branch we could also have the 707 but that might go a little too far. Hopefully there could be AI trams at Wimbledon for realism like in edinburgh Glasgow.
The trams at Wimbledon is a great idea though. Also yeah, the Hampton Court branch would be reasonable to add.
