Route Swr London Waterloo - Portsmouth Harbour/basingstoke

    INTRODUCTION

    Today I will be suggesting the South western mainline and Portsmouth direct Line operated by South Western Railway (DfT Operator Ltd. ) . This route will have 40 stations in total and will be 83 miles (142 km) long.


    THE ROUTE

    The route starts at London Waterloo, located in Central London, ending at Portsmouth Harbour and Basingstoke, located in South East England

    The Class 450 manufactured by Siemens Transportation System as part of the Desiro family built in vienna and uerdingen from 2002-2006 one hundred and twenty seven of these four car trains have a maximum speed of 100 mph (160 km/h) the safety systems used are TPWS/AWS.


    450/0 & 1 (4 car, third rail ,used on DC lines )


    450/1 - 285 seats 100 mph (160 km/h)
    450/0 - 285 seats 100 mph (160 km/h)

    The Class 444 manufactured by Siemens Transportation System as part of the Desiro family built in vienna from 2002-2004 fourty five of these five car trains have a a maximum speed of 100 mph (160 km/h) the safety systems used are TPWS/AWS.

    The class 455 manufactured by British Rail Engineering Limited as part of the BR Second Generation family built at Holgate Road carriage works from 1982-1985 one hundred and thirty seven four car trains were built with seventy nine remaining the maximum speed of this train is 75 mph (121 km/h and the safety systems used are TPWS/AWS.


    455/7 (4 car,Third rail ,used on DC electrified lines )

    455/8 (4 car,Third rail ,used on DC electrified lines )

    455/7 - 244 seats 75 mph (121 km/h)

    455/8 - 244 seats 75 mph (121 km/h)

    Services
    This train would run Services from Waterloo to Woking and other services in the London and Hampshire area
