    Suggestion:

London Waterloo to Basingstoke - 1983

    455/8 - Stopping
    4VEP - Semi fast
    4REP - Fast
4TC - For extending REPs, or working in push pull
33/1 - Freight and push pull

The route would finally bring the iconic London Waterloo into the game, whilst also providing a completely new experience for players and filling a vital gap in the game's railway history. With a 33/0 already in the game, three units being similar and mk1 based, the stock would hopefully not even be too much of a burden to develop!

What would be fun and unique for players:
The amount of compatibility between rolling stock would allow for some very creative and unique scenarios. 33/1s could work both freight and push pull trains with 4TCs or broken REPs and VEPs. 4REPs could work alone or with the addition of a 4TC for two different driving experiences on faster services. The 455/8, the mk1 based units and the 33/1 would all drive incredibly different to each other, only adding to the already impressive variety of gameplay.

    Expansion:
The expansion possibilities for this route would be extensive, with many other trains running over this route around the same time. 4SUBs were just being phased out, so could easily supplement the 455/8. There could even be the possibility of other locomotives, such as the 73 and 50. The 73 would also be compatible with the mk1 based stock, but would be unique in being an electro diesel. The 50 is then something completely different to the rest, running loco hauled trains via Basingstoke towards Devon!

    Conclusion:
I believe this route would allow for very extensive and varied gameplay, whilst also filling a large gap in the what the game has to offer, providing endless fresh and repeatable gameplay for players on a very iconic route.

Br and southern region from DTG the most unlikely area still but 100% on the suggestion.

I sense a return to the Southern region, there hasn't been a route in that region for a while. I imagine the TSW6 route will be GWR, but there's a decent chance of there being a stand alone route being set in the South.

Be great if we had anything from the western division of the southern region. All the old LSWR territory, now SWR.

Very impressive looks like you brought in the requested slam doors the VEP 4REP. I wonder if this has seen the following 2EPB 3CIG

I believe some of the 4-cigs would have run over the route as far as Woking, before diverting off towards Portsmouth.

4CIG's could also appear on the Bournemouth semi fasts.

That's good what else ran here besides them that class 73 electro diesel locomotives operate here. On diesel power it can be operated by the existing blue star multiple unit equipped classes 33 31 20 45 40 37 locos. Unless this route itself was the domain of the class 33 equipped with SR MU system to work with 4TC 4REP 3CIG VEP 4CEP

Yeah, very much 33 and 73 dominated diesel wise. Had 50s and mk2s on the Exeter trains though of course.

Gets my vote. The old slam door electrics are long overdue.

Yeah, definitely feels like a gap and the gameplay would be brilliant!

Did they appear on that route as early as 1983 or was this a later diagram?

100% yes, feels like a JT kinda route. I'd personally love it set 4-5 later so we can have a real mix of NSE and BR Blue/Grey.

Fairly certain I saw CIG's down there in the late 70's and early 80's plus of course the VEP's.

I'd love this in NSE days as you could have the 442 as well as the slam-doors.

It's always nice to see new routes being released with different time periods.
We haven't really seen any older third-rail trainsets. Of course only if you don't count classes 313 and 314... New trainsets like the Class 455 and the slam-door units would all be a significant addition.

Yes please, particularly if it's set in NSE era as that's missing from TSW at the moment.

My one complaint would be, if we're going to Basingstoke, could we have either the branch down to Alton or extend it to Southampton (including the legendary Eastleigh Works/Depot) so that a full service could be done in a slam-door or you could really have a decent run in a 442.
