It Would be Amazing if We Have My Home Local Route London Waterloo to Winchester and then Eastleigh... And Having the Class 450's and Class 444s for that Route
Eastleigh seems a bit of a weird end point when Southampton Central is just a few more miles down the line.
And the 4REP "tractor" units to haul the TC's! hard to say what the best stretch would be, not going to get all the way from Waterloo to Southampton or Bournemouth. If it started at Basingstoke, then Bournemouth a possibility though as I've said before I would like 1980's Southampton to Weymouth, when the third rail only went to Bournemouth and the 33/1's did push/pull with the TC units and Weymouth Quay Line was still in operation.
If they did Southampton to Weymouth it would be good to see how long they give to do the switch as in real life they would do it in 2 min flat.
I would love to see the SWR make an appearance from a new London Terminals. I would particularly like the route to Portsmouth Harbour via Guildford.
You'd surely have to continue to Redbridge to include Southampton Docks? Eastleigh actually makes semi sense for freight as most do driver changes at Eastleigh anyway.
I made a suggestion 5 years ago of Basingstoke to Bournemouth including some of the trains you suggested: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...basingstoke-to-bournemouth.18166/#post-641131
If we do return to 3rd rail something on the SW network would be the preferred option rather than SE and even more preferably to knock it back a few decades. How long is the route though mate?
Good suggestion, it would be nice for a route in the south-west of England, I would set it in the 1980s and 1990s with the slam-door stock though. This is because I feel that it would be nice to vary the era from the third-rail routes we have already (ECW, BML, SEHS)
