Long Island Railroad M7 Buzzer

    Hi guys, with the LIRR DLC we get to operate the doors since there is no conductor to do so. A component missing from this is the buzzer. The buzzer on the LIRR is mainly used for brake tests in the beginning of the run and after the doors are closed and clear, the conductor will send the engineer 2 presses of it to tell him he can depart. I have acquired a recording of this buzzer and I will post it below. The buzzer is located under “Acknoledge” and it’s called “Console Buzzer” (circled in red below).

    Note that “O” means one short buzz and “-“ means one long buzz. So for example if it’s “OO” that’s two short buzzes meaning you are clear to depart if stopped.

    EDIT: I have also attached a picture of the location of the buzzer on the door panel in the cab. Both have the same functionality.
