Good Evening Everyone, Following my Harlem Line and Boston Sprinter suggestions, I'm returning back to MTA territory with suggestions for the LIRR DLC. It seems that with the imminent release of the Harlem Line that there is renewed interest in the LIRR, especially in working out existing bugs and bringing the DLC up to the high standards shown in the preview for the Harlem Line. Once (if) the LIRR DLC gets brought up to snuff, I would love to see the following train packs brought to the game. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Kawasaki M9 EMU Kawasaki M9 EMU Scenarios: 1 Tutorial: Learn to operate the train and understand the unique LIRR signalling 3 Main: Penn to Hicksville, Hicksville to Atlantic Terminal, Hempstead to Jamaica Making their debut late in 2019, these EMUs are eventually going to phase out the M3s and whisk commuters deep underground to the new terminal under Grand Central via the East Side Access Project. With a sharp paint scheme featuring the New York State colors, the M9 is a speedy and futuristic sight on The Island. The M9 works side-by-side with the M7 and M3 EMUs currently in service and adds fresh variety to a busy railroad. The DM30 allows diesel branch trains to reach Penn Station without passengers having to change trains at Jamaica. With a vibrant yellow and blue paint scheme, these locomotives always have Kawasaki bilevel push-pull coaches in tow. The bilevels are unique to Long Island, being built to fit in the East River Tunnels to NYP. Unfortunately both the coaches and locomotives are starting to show their age and replacements have started to be researched. It is not uncommon to see DM30s on both ends of a train out of NYP. The units have been through a variety of paint schemes but the gray, blue, and yellow with MTA logo is my personal favorite. These units don't work revenue passenger trains but certainly keep them moving. MP15s can be seen on MoW trains, working as shop switchers, and protecting the many terminals and tunnels in the New York City area from failed trains. TSW has featured Amtrak and Caltrain EMD switchers in the past, and an LIRR unit would be sure to be a hit! Any of these units would be a welcome addition to the game, and I hope you all would agree with me.
The locomotive is Called a DM30AC Normal practice is Electric mode to the last diesel station Huntington Port Jefferson Line so are central branch Ronkonkoma Branch services.M9 EMU has a dual-mode shoe remember to change them to top contact LIRR when running on Harlem Line switch to Bottom Contact
One of the scenarios for the Lirr Dm30AC could be a evening trip back out east to Long Island which would be port Jefferson which would end at Hicksville.
