I still would like freight operations on Long Island with the New York and Atlantic RR and connections to the CSX, CPKC, and Providence and Worchester RRs. Perhaps the Pennsylvania RR (which subsidized the LIRR) could be added to the game with commuter and freight operations with electric locomotives on LI. The LIRR DE30AC and DM30AC diesel locomotives would be cool to see in game. The DE30AC is a diesel-electric loco, while the DM30AC is dual-mode, similar to Amtrak's P32AC-DM.
There are no plans to expand lirr. Just so you are aware, if they wanted to extend, they would have to charge full price again because you also have to account for the old track and that was met with a ton of resistance when lirr commuter released
but there's so many things they could add like grand central madison the other locos extending the branch i wouldnt mind a v 3 but they would need to make it worth my bucks
