Why do i keep getting this error fault ONLY ON THIS FORUM, no other site known to mankind. Takes 5 to 10 clicks on a forum link to get to the next sub forum. Even then sometimes it just throws me back to either the sub forum i was on or even the main site page. Posting a reply to a topic, clicking the like button and clicking my notifications button are all hit and miss. Sometimes they work but more often don't. If i was paranoid i would think DTG have nobbled my username access, to discourage me using the forums. Not that i would put that past them.
This is not something I have experienced. The forum is quite responsive for me (and I have some dodgy WiFi as well!) Maybe try clearing cookies, or resetting cache. Other than that I can't help much unfortunately.
Hang on have you checked the Javascript Console like it says? Next time it happens show us the console (You may need to press F12 and click a button. Then someone on here with expertise might be able to help!
Java is uninstalled here now, but i am still getting that error message. Error messages below, thank you for trying to help. This page uses the non standard property “zoom”. Consider using calc() in the relevant property values, or using “transform” along with “transform-origin: 0 0”. lousy-forum-problems.72722 XenForo.activate( HTMLDocument https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/lousy-forum-problems.72722/#post-702168 ) xenforo.js:226:184 Attachments changed, total files: 0, images: 0 attachment_editor_new.js:15:299 XenForo.init() 62ms. jQuery 1.11.0/1.2.8-dev xenforo.js:212:387 XenForo.activate( Object { 0: div.dark_postrating_container, length: 1, prevObject: {…}, context: undefined } ) xenforo.js:226:184 Uncaught TypeError: a is null f https://forums.dovetailgames.com/js/xenforo/xenforo.js?_v=5c5c3183:229 jQuery 4 xenforo.js:229:232 PHP <!DOCTYPE html> <html id="XenForo" lang="en-US" dir="LTR" class="Public NoJs GalleryLazyLoader LoggedIn Sidebar Responsive" xmlns:fb="http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml"> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="https://cdn-ukwest.onetrust.com/consent/ecbfc7d4-c9e4-4675-b55d-351f516629bb/OtAutoBlock.js" ></script> <script src="https://cdn-ukwest.onetrust.com/scripttemplates/otSDKStub.js" type="text/javascript" charset="UTF-8" data-domain-script="ecbfc7d4-c9e4-4675-b55d-351f516629bb" ></script> <script type="text/javascript"> function OptanonWrapper() { } </script> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge,chrome=1" /> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1" /> <base href="https://forums.dovetailgames.com/" /> <script> var _b = document.getElementsByTagName('base')[0], _bH = "https://forums.dovetailgames.com/"; if (_b && _b.href != _bH) _b.href = _bH; </script> <title>Dovetail Games Forums</… xenforo.js:236:357 XenForo.activate( Object { 0: div.xenOverlay, length: 1, prevObject: {…}, context: undefined } ) xenforo.js:226:184 PHP <!DOCTYPE html> <html id="XenForo" lang="en-US" dir="LTR" class="Public NoJs GalleryLazyLoader LoggedIn Sidebar Responsive" xmlns:fb="http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml"> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="https://cdn-ukwest.onetrust.com/consent/ecbfc7d4-c9e4-4675-b55d-351f516629bb/OtAutoBlock.js" ></script> <script src="https://cdn-ukwest.onetrust.com/scripttemplates/otSDKStub.js" type="text/javascript" charset="UTF-8" data-domain-script="ecbfc7d4-c9e4-4675-b55d-351f516629bb" ></script> <script type="text/javascript"> function OptanonWrapper() { } </script> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge,chrome=1" /> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1" /> <base href="https://forums.dovetailgames.com/" /> <script> var _b = document.getElementsByTagName('base')[0], _bH = "https://forums.dovetailgames.com/"; if (_b && _b.href != _bH) _b.href = _bH; </script> <title>Dovetail Games Forums</… xenforo.js:236:357
That looks like the elements tab to me. The Console tab should be selectable next to it (top right) Also what do you mean by "uninstalled"? How and why did that happen?
Java and Javascript are two completely different things, which is a common source of confusion. What browser are you using? I've never seen that error in Firefox, and loading this page in the current version of Edge is causing me no problems either.
