Something seems wrong with the clouds, they hang far to low. These mountains are not very high I think.

The next picture may show a related issue or another issue with the sky:

I believe this is normal quite often I will see clouds that low around the hills and mountians around where I live.

The mountains out there are quite high, actually, between 5-10,000 feet on either side of the Pass.
Low clouds would likely obscure some of the peaks at times.

As Michael says, nothing unusual in those shots.

( Except, of course the sliced -off mountain texture. )

** Edit: Taking a closer look, one or two of the clouds in the first picture do seem to be misplaced.
I think many of these minor glitches get missed in the current QA regimen.

Clouds are not always and necessarily higher than a peak. Especially since you can hardly estimate the actual heights in the picture in the distance. Still, it looks normal to me. Except, we would probably speak of 100m here.

  5. It's normal and a nice touch. Sometimes as I go over the summit I encounter fog near the top. I would like to think this is not just a coincidence.

Sometimes where I live the clouds goes down to 250-300 meters and even less. I wonder if it’s a render issue or the mountain is literally cut:

One of the limitations of the new clouds in TSW is that they are all at the same height. There is another layer of higher cloud similar to how it was before the volumetric clouds came along that gives it some more depth. Overall I think the sky now looks fantastic.

That particular mountain never draws in and is an issue we have seen many times before on other routes so hopefully it will be an easy fix for DTG.

I generally agree. I like the new sky and I wish it could be ported throughout the game.

But, if you look closely at Rudolf's pics, he has a point to make, some of the clouds look a little cut and paste. And you can't unlook that mountain once seen.

It's a minor glitch, some players care about such things and some don't. Personally, I would not have noticed. I tend to overlook/ put up with a lot of blocky and low- poly textures if I like the route overall.
