Is it possible to completely isolate MU or DP units in a script, so they won't add to tractive effort of the lead engine?
I tried all control values, which can be ralated to this and none works... I also tested SS SD70Ace, and look like it does not really support isolation as well. It only works for the lead unit. For MU units it is just a switch on the wall and nothing else.
Is it a limitation of the simulator?

Apologies if this isn't the answer you are looking for, but I know zilch about scripting.

But can you not configure that within Scenarios . . . "Broken Engine"?

Thank you for the idea, John! It works, of cause. But unfortunatly it seems it cannot be controlled dynamically from lua. If you mark it DIT, it will remain like this to the end of a scenario. But I want to make isolation switch actually work, if it is possible in TS of cause.

    What difference will it make?
If the unit is dead at the start of a scenario it will remain dead - as in Real Life

Not sure how you would drive you train with a dead unit coupled but then it comes to life at a station
