I would like to see the 280KM route from London King’s Cross to Newcastle. Included would be the LNER 801, already featured, and the LumO class 803. Driving high speed for so long would entice so many people to play, added to the fact that lots of players are familiar with part of the route already
Better off coming with the Newcastle to Edinburgh section of the ECML. Would probably be boring for many between Newcastle and King's Cross as the only stop is Stevenage (a big gap between there and Newcastle), with very little speed changes.
Though with the inclusion of LNER as well, that would allow for stopping services. I like this suggestion tbh. Could add in a 91 DLC. Thameslink between KGX and PBO on their early/late services and between PBO and FPK on their routine services. Scope for inclusion of Hull Trains as another open access operator with 80x variant. Could try XC licence and have 170 DLC on MML, around PBO, and around BHM on BCC. Maybe voyager DLC for NCL -> York. Very long route so more expensive than the normal price but lots of potential. I know people often say not possible to do such long routes on TSW, but tbh I don't think I've ever seen anyone from DTG actually say this.
Probably too long for DTG to do anytime soon. Also would be two separate extensions. Peterborough to KGX and Doncaster to Newcastle.
Edinburgh to Newcastle is the section I really want next for ECML. The most scenic part of the route along the Berwick coast and the Border bridge. Lumo & LNER services, plus the short North Berwick branch could utilise the ScotRail 385 & 380. Perfect mix of commuter and express main line. Through in that Newcastle is a crew change point, realism of stopping services there is accurate.
I think DTG wouldn't do Lumo anytime soon just because Lumo tends to be a fast service, most of the services go from Kings x to Edinburgh via Newcastle which we don't have in game
