Let the picture speak for itself: Created a basic scenario for MG, starting at the freight entrance near München Hbf, setting season to autumn, otherwise not changing anything. Wanted clear weather (most old scenarios come with gloomy, dark weather), forgot to set the date from July to October. Most, but not all sections of the route have these white terrain patches, mostly around roads but as you can see, patches can be everywhere. I could rationalize them as early snow, but it's a bit too random. Did anyone encounter this here, or similar? My install didn't change for a long time, nothing removed or added. Case in point, I can live with it, but if it's a known weather bug (like the pitch black distant scenery on Edinburgh-Glasgow in winter), I can adapt. I usually use 2D Cloudy anyway.
Hi Andras! This is the way the textures are - patches of snow in Autumn on MG. Seems to be deliberate design... Also, just to clarify, this has got nothing to do with the weather or date you're choosing - the texture set is solely depending on your season choice. When choosing autumn for example, it will load <texturename>_au.TgPcDx files. (And *_wi.TgPcDx in winter, *_sp.TgPcDx in spring) The scenario date only affects the moon phase (if specified in the TimeOfDay season file), and exclusively for DynamicClouds+3D weather, the path of the sun. In this region of Germany near the Alps there might really be light early snowfall (at least there used to be years ago), mixed with sunny days in autumn, leaving patches of snow here and there. If it was a indeed a texture naming mistake - it's fair enough for me, although I would associate this scenery for spring rather than autumn.
Thanks for the explanation, appreciated. At the very least, not a problem with my install Makes sense, just feels a bit odd. Namely, too bright (clean). I guess the roadside makes sense, must have been cleared.
