Line 2 is nicknamed the "green line" because of the color it is drawn in on maps.
Green is also the main color used in the decoration of stations and trains.
With almost 40 km of extension and 35 stations, the M2 is the longest metro line in Italy and one of the longest in Europe.
It is so far the only one of the Milanese metro lines to have above-ground sections, between Cimiano and the two terminus of Gessate and Cologno Nord and on the branch to Assago Forum after Famagosta.

The M2 green line of the Milan metro has 35 stations:
A branch leaves from the Abbiategrasso terminus and arrives in Gessate, stopping at the following stations: Famagosta, Romolo, Porta Genova, Sant'Agostino, Sant'Ambrogio, Cadorna, Lanza, Moscova, Porta Garibaldi, Gioia, Milano Centrale, Caiazzo, Loreto, Piola, Lambrate, Udine, Cimiano, Crescenzago, Cascina Gobba, Vimodrone, Cascina Burrona, Cernusco, Villa Fiorita, Cassina de' Pecchi, Bussero, Villa Pompea, Gorgonzola, Cascina Antonietta, Gessate.
The other branch always leaves from the Abbiategrasso terminus and reaches the Cologno Nord stop; from the Cascina Gobba stop it branches off towards Cologno Nord passing through the following stations: Cologno Sud and Cologno Centro.
Line 2 is equipped with electricity via an overhead contact line (pantograph) with a voltage of 1,500 volts in direct current along the entire route and extends for 39.9 km.

Among the five Milanese metro lines, the M2 is the one equipped with the largest number of depots, having three:
Gorgonzola (since 1972), Cologno Nord (since 1981) and Famagosta (since 1999), all located in correspondence with the stations of the same name.

the trains that use the line are:
    1) Meneghino: The convoy was built on commission of the ATM Azienda Trasporti Milanesi for the renewal of the rolling stock of the metropolitan lines.
The nickname was coined by interposing the three letters of the acronym MNG (New Generation Metro, real name of the convoy).
The train is modular; it is composed of a pair of traction units, permanently coupled, each composed of three bodies, two of which are traction (each equipped with 4 engines) and a semi-pilot trailer with driver's cab. Each convoy is therefore composed of 6 bodies, for a total length of approximately 105 m, whose units are, in order, Rp-M1-M2-M2-M1-Rp, in which Rp=Pilot Trailer, M1 and M2= Engines.
The overall power of each traction unit is 1280 kW and the power control is implemented via IGBT-VVVF inverter.
It was designed for interoperability, being able to be powered by 1500 volts.
be able to exploit different collection systems (pantograph) and be able to exploit the different signaling and traffic management systems in use on the line.

    2) Leonardo: The 220 million euro loan with which the trains were purchased is entirely borne by ATM thanks to a loan contracted with the European Investment Bank.
The chosen project, the one developed by AnsaldoBreda.
The new train is made up of 6 cases; the two at the ends (equipped with a cabin) and the two intermediate ones in the center are each equipped with 4 engines, while the other two are towed. The units are therefore in this order: M1-R-M2-M2-R-M1, where R=trailer, M1=tractor with cab and M2=tractor without cab. T
The overall length is just under 107 metres.
The total power of each traction unit is 1280 kW. Power control is implemented via IGBT-VVVF inverter.
Like its predecessor, the “Meneghino”, it was designed to guarantee interoperability on the metropolitan network: it can both be powered at 1500 V.
The composition adopted, without interruption between the individual units, all air conditioned, provides a total of 48 sliding doors, 8 for each carriage, equally divided between the two sides of the train. The environments, which comply with the most recent safety regulations, are under video surveillance and equipped with a digital audio and video information system with LCD monitor in the cell. Some examples are equipped with a livery entirely based on the distinctive color of the line on which they circulate, i.e. green, and have the profiles around the doors colored white, while others are painted entirely black with the profiles around the doors and on the green front.

Ultimately I hope this line will be made on TSW4 since it would be the first Italian map.
thank you all for your attention, have a good day and have fun.

This is a nice suggestion. It would be a change, especially now that the game has 90% English & german routes.
Hope in the future to see more different Routes/Operators from other European Countries like Italy, Greece, Spain, Romania & etc.

The M1 line might be quite nice to be done in TSW also.
