Since Dovetail Games has expanded to France with LGV Méditerranée, another idea I believe would be popular would be a high speed AVE route in Spain, especially with a talgo train. This would go From Madrid Atocha, a beautiful, historic train station to Toledo, a distance of 47 miles. Rolling stock would include the AVE S-102 "Pato" high speed train. I suspect TSW doesn't handle tilting trains, especially passive tilting ones like Talgo where they would need a decent amount of the already lacking processing power for the physics of the thing, I could be wrong but the lack of the Acela and WCML seems a bit strange.
They removed the wagons detailed physics many time ago. In the original CSX Heavy Haul game, or earlier TSW1 versions, I´m not sure which one, each single wagon waved individually inside the consist, and that was amazing when in external view. But it seems that created severe performance problems. So I presume tilting will be transparent to physics and we would just have what we now have: a giant rolling static metal sausage. Cheers
Be more positive . This does not mean they won´t implement tilting in the future, but just that they removed the waving wagons cause it created problems in the past. But that was only the past. Cheers
Si por favor! It would be lovely to have this, another suggestion for an AVE route would be Barcelona to Girona and Figueres (where we could also drive the TGV Euroduplex wink wink). We could even have the S-103 as well is it is very similar to the BR406. Spanish high speed trains also run at higher speeds than the german ICE counterparts. S-103 at Barcelona Sants
I call tanker trains strings of sausages but I’ve never thought of a whole train as a giant sausage before. If we get this, we’ll have a giant sausage with a beak. I think I’d like that. Tilting trains are conspicuous by their absence in TSW.
