With the MSB passing just under the high speed lines near Gemunden and Wurzburg, wouldn't it be a good idea to start pushing for an extension or new route to cover the Regio line down to Wurzburg. If we let an MSB update come without then then it'll be years because DTG will mothball the route and focus elsewhere thats something we've come to live with now.

It would also create the longest inter-route network on the game linking Kassel and Miltenburg via 3 (or 4) routes. Pair this with the free roam and train spawner and you have a full days worth of custom work. When the consist creater comes into full effect you can spawn the train you were using in seconds on the new route.

    Examples:
Loco Maintainence in Fulda? Drag the locos up from Aschaffenburg and run around in Wurzburg.

Feight delivery arriving in Kassel? Run it all the way through to Miltenburg with a split staying in Fulda and another staying at Gemunden. And a power change at Aschaffenburg.

    Or

Take a loaded train out of Lohr and pull it up to Gemunden, then add it to a pair of 185s with a train waiting to go and head up to Kassel via Wurzburg

Let me know what you think?

Sounds like a really cool idea! It would be amazing if all the routes were merged as well, but I doubt that’s possible.

I've been wanting this, since TSW2, I never liked how it simply stopped at Gemünden... no offense to anyone who likes gemünden, but it's a very... empty place to stop at.

However, if this were done, I wouldn't want it to be an extension, I'd rather want to have the route re-done with the modern tunnel renovation and new timetable. :)

A connection of all 3 routes would obviously be incredible, but I personally would be happy if the msb got extended to würzburg and if the AI trains + timetables were overlapping.

Maybe a complete Remake of the msb would be nice with the new Heigenbrücken and new rolling stock like the ICE T (411) and other trains

Any of those would be great! MSB is a really underrated route and could use some more attention!

Excellent Idea and back in 2022 Lukas mentioned the Nantenbacherkurve its the Bridge on Main spessart Bahn past Lohr. Why not connect both at Lohr Bahnhof using the connector track that Lukas mentioned

Interestingly enough, these tracks are fully functional aside from the LZB equipment, it's the freeroam service path I did yesterday :)

At least we can send sleeper trains through it at the time of KWG 2022 there's the daily Amsterdam Centraal/Brussel Zuid-Duisburg/Aachen Hbf-Wien Hbf/Innsbruck Hbf Nightjet which actually uses the connector track
