The Main-Weser-Bahn is a main railway line from Kassel via Wabern, Treysa, Marburg, Gießen and Friedberg to Frankfurt am Main, which was named after the railway company that built the line and until 1880 too operated.

The route is 199.8 kilometers long. It is double-tracked and provided with an overhead line. The maximum route speed is 160 km / h, but this is only achieved sporadically on the southern section. The Main-Weser Railway is a very important railway line for local rail passenger transport. In addition, it is supported by an ICE line and a Use IC connection in long-distance passenger rail transport.

    Local rail transport:

Talent 2 railcars are used for the hourly Mittelhessen Express between Frankfurt and Treysa
operated by DB Regio Mitte. On the regional train line, which has been running continuously since December 2012 Gießen – Friedberg – Hanau have also been running Talent 2 multiple units since March 2013, which are hauled by class 143 locomotives Trains from n-wagons or GTW 2/6 of the Hessian State Railway replaced.

The DB Regional Express trains between Frankfurt and Kassel are almost exclusively push-pull trains
from double-deck coaches that are drawn with the 146.2 class. With the 2010/2011 timetable change, the
Hessische Landesbahn (HLB) part of the transport services between Frankfurt am Main and Marburg (several years later Kassel Hbf) and Siegen on behalf of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund and the local transport association Westphalia-Lippe as the Main-Sieg-Express. Newly purchased three- and five-part Stadler railcars will be purchased Flirt used. They partially replace double-decker push-pull train sets and converted silver coins of the Deutsche Bahn AG. In Giessen the trains are usually winged towards Kassel Hbf and Siegen Hbf.

The RegioTram, which ran between Kassel and Treysa until December 2015, consisted of low-floor tram railcars Class 452. Class 423 S-Bahn multiple units run on the S-Bahn section (S6) south of Friedberg.

The ICE trains on line 26 consist of ICE T multiple units; the intercity trains are the usual push-pull trains
from Intercity and former Interregio cars with electric locomotives of the 101 series or alternatively the series 120. Occasionally, during construction work or operational disruptions on the high-speed line Hanover – Würzburg Intercity-Express trains of other lines between Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof and Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe diverted the then do not stop in Fulda and Hanau.

Freight traffic also takes place in the form of continuous trains from different railway companies.

Edit: You could also divide the 199 kilometers in half and say that you are building from Frankfurt to Marburg (Lahn). This is about 100 km and should be possible for the TS. In retrospect, an extension to Kassel HBF is conceivable, so that you can also drive this route with an ICE T :)

Or the second variant would be to build the route the other way around from Kassel HBF via Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe to Marburg (Lahn). But I think the first variant of the Main-Wser-Bahn would be to build from Frankfurt (Main) HBF to Marburg (Lahn) and to expand the second variant from Marburg (Lahn) to Kassel HBF via Kassl-Wilhelmshöhe at a later date, which would be the zero point of the starting station Kassel HBF. But the other way around again from Frankfurt (Main) HBF would be interesting
