I have a question about the time plan on the maintalbahn, am I actually the only one who is always too late on this route because it doesn't matter when I leave personally. I often arrive 5-10 minutes late. Is it also the case in reality on this route? Or because I'm just too incompetent to keep the timetable. Because if I leave now, for example, I'm 2 minutes earlier, I'm still 2-3 minutes late
Probably because the 642 engines are by far not so powerful than that from the 612. The strongest 642 engine has 360 kW. The engines of the 612 have 560 kW.
Not to mention that, not only is the 642 underpowered but, on some timetable runs, you can get blocked by signals and because of the single line running of the route, you will be waiting for 10 minutes or more. Just to find out the the train in front is over the other side of the route.
Yes, that's always this problem with single-track routes, you can really make an effort to do everything right, but in the end it doesn't use anything because it's red
Delays are normal I believe, but I'm never 5-10 minutes late. It's always two minutes at max and often I can reduce the delay at stations where there's a slightly longer stay due to a train meet (Aschaffenburg Süd, Obernburg and Klingenbach I believe).
Yes, that's true that you can catch up at some stations. But as an example yesterday I was 10 minutes late again (Because of other trains and red signals/
